{ Kris' POV }

I walked home, a little upset by the fact that Susie didn't have time for me.

I knew I shouldn't be upset but it stung just a little.

I went inside, my mom there to greet me.

"Ah Kris! How was school?" she smiled at me. "...Tiring," I said, like everyday. "You always say that dear, I left some pie for you on the counter. Please get straight to your homework. You know that Alphys lets me know when you're missing assignments," she said sternly.

I took the pie and went upstairs, flopping on my bed.

Anytime I sat here, I couldn't help but get flashbacks to the make-out sesh we had yesterday..

It happened so quickly, but I'm so glad she wasn't mad at me.

I took a couple bites, smiling uncontrollably as I ate it.

Mom's cooking never disappoints..

Instead of sulking about not being with Susie, I tried to find something to do.

..But I couldn't stop thinking about her..

Her purple scales and how they looked best under warm lights, like the sunset and sunrise over the town everyday...

Her dark auburn hair and how messy yet shiny and fluffy it always was.. how I always wanted to touch it, just braid it and style it to her liking...

Her golden scleras and claws, so unique and special unlike anyone I've ever seen, and how they match her golden grin whenever she sees me.

God her smile is so pretty...

It makes my heart flutter every time like it's the first time I saw it.

The way that she's the only one that ever lets me see her soft side, and how she drops her tsundere and angry act everytime she's with me, expressing her true self. Her dorky self. Her funny self, her talented self.

It makes me grateful that I'm the only one that gets to see it.

Well, Jupes gets to see it too since we're all friends but Susie especially means it to me.

I blushed as I daydreamed about going on a date with her for hours, to the point the sun was on its way down when I heard a knock at my window.

"S-SUZ?" I stuttered, caught off-guard from my daydreaming. I quickly opened the window as she climbed in. "Hey Kris..." she smiled warmly, kissing me softly. I blushed lightly, forgetting how upset I was because now she was here with me. "I-I thought you said you were busy," I stuttered. "Well.. I was but- you know what? Just come with me darling," she said, smiling at me. I took her hand as she jumped down from my window, holding her arms out so she could catch me.

"A-are you sure this is safe..?" I asked. "Baby, I'll catch you. I'll be extra careful with you," she smiled.

I couldn't say no to those eyes...

I jumped down as she caught me, carrying me bridal style around my house and off to where she was taking me. "S-so, where are we going starlight?" I asked, blushing from being in her arms. "It's a surprise sunrise," she kissed my cheek. "W-well, I can't wait to see it!" I giggled.

She brought me into the forest, putting me down as she covered my eyes.

"Alright sweetie, we're almost there," she said, helping me walk forward. "I hope you're not gonna make me bump into anything on purpose," I chuckled. "O-of course not! S-shut up j-just keep walking," she stuttered.
