For Alarra and Lyanna's birthday, their father decided to stay for two months. The journey was too long for them to leave immediately, and he noticed that his daughters enjoyed spending time with the Lannister and Baratheon boys. The good thing was that Ned wasn't too jealous as long as he, too, spent time with his sisters.

Lord Arryn was overjoyed to have the Starks stay longer. He, too, saw the potential between the girls and the young men. Lord Rickard and Lord Arryn discussed the possibility of a marriage between Rickard's daughters and the young lords. Jon thought it was a good idea; that would get the Old Lion on their side when they decided to revolt against the Mad King. If all three Great Houses were tied to each other by marriage, they had enough strength to overthrow the Mad King. But they had to be careful about their plans; if the King ever found out, they would be burned alive.

During their stay at the Eyrie, Lord Rickard wrote to Lord Lannister and Lord Baratheon about a possible alliance through their children. He explained to each Lord that the children seemed to get along and were fond of each other. Lord Rickard also told the Lords he was open to a wedding with his daughters. He knew his girls were too young, but Lord Rickard wanted to secure their futures immediately.

When Lord Rickard finished his missive to each Great House, Lord Arryn had his Maester send them off. It didn't take long for the other two Lords to agree that the Stark twins were a good match for their sons. When the children were older, the marriage contract would be made.

While Lord Rickard and Lord Arryn plotted, the children became more acquainted. Jaime discovered that he was fond of Lyanna. She had a spirit that matched his sister's, if not more so. Jaime liked that she trained with a sword but was still a lady when she had to be. His favorite pastime was talking history and p, laying Cyvasse. It was a game popular in Dorne and the Free Cities, but Jaime's father made sure that he knew how to play. Jaime enjoyed teaching Lyanna how to play the game.

Even though the girls were there, the three boys had to continue their lessons. Jaime found the lessons the Maester taught difficult. He would get frustrated and abruptly leave. Alarra and Lyanna looked at each other and rushed after Jaime. They found him in the sparring ring, decimating a dummy. He was close to tears, but the girls did not mention it.

Lyanna walked towards Jaime and laid a hand on his shoulder, "What's wrong, Jaime?"

Jaime hesitated and looked between the twins. He sighed and put his sword down, "I'll never be a good Lord of Casterly Rock," He said, defeated.

"Why do you say that?" Lyanna asked.

Jaime explained that he couldn't read correctly and that the words would float off the pages. Alarra and Lyanna gave each other a knowing look. Lyanna had the same problem until Alarra healed her a bit and taught her a technique that would help her learn faster. Lyanna stepped closer to Jaime and hugged him, "I know exactly how you feel, Jaime. I had the same problem, but Alarra helped me. And I know she can help you too."

Jaime skeptically looked at Alarra. He didn't understand how she could help him, but he was willing to try anything.

"But, first, you have to swear not to tell anyone. If anyone found out, I could get into much trouble, especially with the Faith of the Seven."

Jaime stared at the twins wide-eyed but nodded, "I swear."

The twins silently communicated and then nodded. Alarra walked toward Jaime and put her hands on either side of his head. She pushed her healing powers into him, and Jaime gasped, but whatever Alarra was doing didn't hurt; it felt nice. When she finished, Lyanna handed Jaime a piece of parchment to read. He had difficulty, but the words no longer floated off the page. Jaime smiled at Alarra, "What did you do?" He curiously asked.

"I healed you a little bit; the rest I can teach you how to read it, and Ned will help you," Alarra explained.

Jaime frowned, "Why would your brother help me?"

"Because he knows that Lyanna had the same problem, and we found that if we read aloud, Lyanna understood it better. So, Ned knows what to do. There is no shame in needing help," Alarra explained.

Jaime thought about it and agreed to have Ned help him. Allara smiled at Jaime and told him she would let Ned know immediately. She decided to leave Lyanna with Jaime so they could get to know each other. There was an awkward silence between the two until Lyanna broke the silence, "Are you a good swordsman?" Lyanna asked.

Jaime brightened, "The Master At Arms told me I'm a natural at it."

"Our Master At Arms says the same thing about Alarra and me, though Larra is better with a bow than I am."

Jaime looked at the Stark girl, stunned, "Your father lets you train?" He asked incredulously.

"Aye, it took a little compromise, but finally, Father agreed," Lyanna told Jaime.

Jaime smirked at his new friend and tossed her a practice sword, "Let's see how good you are."

Lyanna swung the sword to get the feel of it, then got into her defensive stance. She smirked at Jaime, "Whenever you're ready, Lion Boy."

Jaime smiled, also getting defensive, "Alright, Wolf Girl."

With that, the two opponents clashed.
