Scorch Trials Remake

Step One:

Okay I know that it has been Thomas POV but I might be able to write in someone else's pov after this chapter. Also I'm sorry that this chapter is way overdue.

Thomas POV:

I've got it! I've got the plan that will hopefully work. There are some flaws in it but it will work...hopefully. Step one: get Teresa out of the room. Step two: get all the Gladers together. Step three: tell them my plan and hope they agree. So onto step one.

Teresa is still sleeping on me while I'm playing with her hair. No one else is awake so that's why I've been able to come up with my plan. What I'm struggling with is how to get her out of the way for a little while. I guess I could tell Jorge and he could ask her for a check up. Or I could tell her o need to talk with the boys only, but she would ask why and I can't tell her. So I guess I'll go with Jorge. I get out of bed and gently lay Teresa down in a comfortable position. I walk out silently to go find Jorge. I find Brenda on the way and she just makes sure I'm doing alright. She almost sounds like she's flirting which has happened before. I see Jorge over her shoulder taking to one of his guys. I recognize the guy as the one talking to Teresa. I say goodbye to Brenda and walk over to him.

" Jorge could I borrow you for a sec?" I ask.

" Sure hermano. What do you need?" Jorge responds.

" Well I need you to hear something. Follow me."

We go into the room he brought Teresa and I pull out the recorder.

" This is what was happening while you were passed out." I push play and wait till it starts. We listen to the tape and I watch his expression go from interest, to shock, more shock, to thinking, then finally when the tape is over his expression is processing. (I don't know if that makes sense but...)

" So you're saying that the guy I was just talking to is blackmailing Teresa to betray you guys?" Jorge asks.

" Well that's the jist of it. And I have a plan, but you need to keep Teresa busy okay."

" What's this plan of yours?"

" Well...."

Still, Thomas POV:

Okay so step one is complete. Jorge is going to get Teresa for a "checkup" for like thirty minutes then I can talk to the Gladers. I'm heading back to the room to wake her up unless she's already awake. I walk in and so far Newt, Frypan, and Winston are up. Minho is snoring so loud you could mistake it for ten grievers. Teresa is still in the same place I left her and I can tell by the look on Newt's face he knows something.

" Hey Tommy! Where have you been?" Newt asks.

" Well I went to talk to Jorge because Teresa has a checkup for her cuts. So I've been awake for like an hour."
