Today was the day that activities for me were going to be resumed. Which meant one thing. We were officially filming the video for Lanterns. Nemy and I had finished working on it together and it was something that was making me feel excited but sad. The whole setting was a white room with two chairs back to back. Me and Nemy were in black clothes with a mic each. "Aella are you ok to do this?" Nemy asked me and I looked at her with a nod.
"Yeah, I'm ok." I said to her. We got into positions and waited for the crew to count us in. And when they did we heard the music start and we started to sing. It was like an unplugged thing and our voices would be coming through strongly. Of course the song was filled with emotions went meant it was harder at some points. But I was doing all that I could. Thankfully I was holding it together better than I thought. I was glad when it was over.
"That was amazing girls. If your happy with it being one take we can use this." Our director said to us and I looked at him and then at Nemy.
"It's up to you." Nemy said to me and I looked at her with a smile.
"I think one take is perfect." I said to her and that was it. It was, I couldn't imagine getting another take just like that. It has all the emotions that were needed. It captured something that no other take would.
"Right, then. We'll start in the editing process the video should be out next week as long as you're both okay with that." One of our staff members said and I looked at him and nodded. That was sounding perfect to me.
"I mean the sooner the better right." Nemy said with a smile. We then headed back to the dorm. I saw that Gueroo was sat on the sofa.
"How did recording go?" She asked us both and I looked at her with a smile.
"It went well. I did feel like I was going to cry at one point but I held it together. I couldn't show anymore emotion that what I already have to." I said to her with a smile and a nod. She then come over and hugged me. A motherly hug.
"I'm so proud of you for doing that. I know he looking down and smiling at this." She said to me with a smile and that's when I saw that Nemy was trying to hold it together. She looked like she was going to fall apart at any moment.
"I hope that my grandma likes the song. I was singing for her." She said and she started to breakdown. Nemy's grandma had passed whilst we were training. She always tried to be the better version of herself so that her grandma would be proud. But she always would be regardless.
"She does like it Nemy. She's your biggest angel supporter and I know that the song will mean so much." I said to her and that's when I started to cry. Gueroo hugged both us.
"Is everything okay out here?" Jihye asked and that's when she saw the crying pile that was going on. "Oh, come here you two." She said to us before wrapping us both in a hug. It wasn't long until the rest of the members came out and hugged us all.
It had been a few days since then and we were filming a special music video for our song So Sweet. It was us at Lotte World and just being together. It was something that I wasn't even expecting that we'd do but here we were. Filming it. Showing off our cute side.
"I feel like this is an entirely different look for all of us." Katsuki said as she looked at all of us with our dresses on.
"I know. I can't tell if I like it or not. Who decided on the cute song?" Dalrae asked as a joke and we all started laughing at her.
"That would be me. We couldn't always do a power song." Hyunjoo said and that was the truth. Recently our management had been deciding on making us into two separate vocal units. Siren voices and Angel voices. I was apart of the siren voices, apparently we just had that's style about it. Because of this. It decided who we were going to be with for the MV. I had Nemy, Jihye and Aree with me. I felt like this would all mean something one day. But for now I couldn't work out what it was.
"Right, we should start heading over to the carousel for our part. We'll see you all in a bit." Aree said to the others and that's when we started on our way to the carousel. It was one part that I'd been looking forward to all day. We would be dancing before heading onto the ride itself. It was something that I was wanting to do. And then we were getting candy floss afterwards. And when that part happened. Nemy and I were feeding it to each other like the couple we were. How I loved having this sisterhood and got to work like this everyday. This was one of the best jobs ever. But of course nothing is ever as good as it seems.
