30. Candy?

Today we were going to become teachers. But for now Aree, Azumi and I were currently practicing for one of our stage performances. We were doing a cover of Candy by Doja Cat. We were going to be doing it in heels which was going to make everything a lot harder. But it was going to be a fun challenge. We completed it for the second time before we heard a knock on the door. "Come in!" We all shouted and that's when the group that would be Luminary walked in. They all bowed to us.

"Hello Triple A sunbaenim." They all said making us all smile. I saw that they were filming for their vlog for this. 

"Hello, Luminary. Are you guys prepared?" Aree asked them we had a choreography prepared for each unit. Vocal unit, Rap unit and the dance unit.

"We're trying to be." Zion said to us with a smile. That's when I looked at them all.

"So, Zion's been teaching me all of your names. So there's Zion, Ilseong, Yejun, Somchai, Kenji, Daku, River, Minjoon and Junseo." I said while pointing at them all and they all looked at each other with a smile on there faces.

"It took her a while to master them all." Azumi said to them all and I hit her lightly.

"Hey, don't tell my secret." I said to them with a smile. We then looked at them all.

"So, we've seen your huge cover of Watch It and we loved it. But now we will be making sure that you guys can show off your units. This means that you'll be doing a choreography that we have made for you guys. Don't worry we have fitted it to your abilities. We've been seeing videos of you guys training which is how we came to decide on this. Now can you guys all get into your units." Aree said to them and that's when they started to walk into the groups of three. When I saw that Zion was in the dance unit I was proud of him.

"So, we'll work our way through you guys. We'll start with the rap unit first. The rest of you guys can head into the room next door. Nemy will be teaching you guys the lyrics to your songs." I said to them and that's when they all nodded at me.

"But if you are curious. These are your songs. Rap team, you have Godzilla by Eminem and Juice WRLD. This is the perfect song for you guys to show off your abilities." Azumi said to them and I saw worried glances between them. But River, he was looking confident.

"Dance unit, I hope your ready to have a great time. Your song is Finesse by Bruno Mars. We hope that you'll share the same fun as us when you dance it." I said to them all with a smile. I saw them celebrate.

"Lastly, vocal unit. We want you to do Only Human by the Jonas Brothers. It will fit your ranges and I'm sure you guys can do some high notes as well." Azumi said and we talked with them and then the went next door. Leaving River, Daku and Yejun.

"So, who's willing to do the fast rap at the end?" Aree asked them and they all looked at each other.

"It's me. I'll try it." River said as he came forwards and we all looked at him with a smile.

"Okay, so you'll be following Aella." Azumi said and that's when he started walking over to me. We gave each other a high five and I smiled at him. Of course he was going to be doing more than the ending part which was going to be great. We then decided on the rest. Yejun would be following Aree which meant that Daku would be doing Azumi.

"So, what part of the states are you from?" I asked River and he looked at me. 

"New York. Brooklyn, we were the only Korean family in our building which made it hard for us but we moved when I was 12. We found a community and it made things a lot easier for my parents. They even opened up a restaurant. I'm hoping that more people will go to it." He said to me and I nodded at him. It would definitely get a lot more traction.

"Well I believe it will and if I'm ever in the area. I will definitely go there." I said to him and that's when we started to teach them all the choreography. We made sure that there was a camera set up so they could watch it back and practice. After three times of doing it after teaching they started to do it alone. I felt like a proud mother. I was glad that we had three practices room.

"We are going to leave you guys to practice. We are going to teach the other group." Azumi said and they looked at us all.

"Thank you sunbae's for teaching us." Yejun said to us and we looked at them with a smile.

"I hope you come to our debut performance." Daku said to us and that's when I felt emotional because we would be there. We then taught the dance group which was Zion, Kenji and Somchai. Leaving Minjoon, Junseo and Ilseong. They were all extremely talented. When we got back to the dorm we were exhausted. Aree and I collapsed on our beds.

"Candy?" Nemy asked us and I felt my heart stop. I then looked at Aree.

"No, we are not dancing anymore." Aree said to her and that's when she started laughing at us.

"Now that wasn't the kind I was talking about. I meant this kind." She said as she held up some jelly candies. That was just what we needed after today.

"That just sounds perfect." I said to her and she looked at me. She then started passing out the candy. She then went around to the other rooms. This was the perfect way to end our day.
