She slowly woke up and felt sharp pain on her head. It was worse than a migraine, that's for sure. She opened her eyes and could only see black. She was as sure as hell that she had opened her eyes, but the why couldn't she see anything? She heard some rustling, then something was lifted off of her head and she couldn't see for a little, because of the blinding lights. When her vision cleared she took a look around. Paying attention to detail.
She was in a basement looking place. The floor was concrete, and the ceiling was supported with wooden pillars. No furniture, except the chair she was tied to.
Suddenly another chair came into her view. 'Edmund' she wanted to yell, but it was muffled. She only then realized that her mouth was stuffed with fabric. After all it was not Edmund's surprise for her. But if it was then this was a sick joke.
"You woke up," Anne started to panic. She didn't recognise this voice and when she looked at Edmund he had his eyes wide open in horror. She could only see now that Edmund was in fact beaten up. "So nice of you to join us. I am deeply sorry that you have to meet me this way, but this is how things are. I would take the cloth out of your mouth, but then you'll start screaming. I have an idea," Anne still couldn't see the man who was talking. His voice was coming from behind. Suddenly a hand was placed on her shoulders. They were pretty large.
"Let's make an agreement. I take the cloth out of your mouth and you won't scream. If you do he will be punished. Okay," the voice was coming right next from her ears. She nodded to the agreement, because she didn't want to put Edmund in harm's way. The man slowly unknotted the cloth from Anne's mouth and she stayed as quiet as she could. The man slowly walked around her chair with heavy steps. The she saw him for the first time. She had to admit that he was quite handsome. Brown short hair, brown eyes. He was tall and lean in a muscly was. He had strong facial features. Very well defined cheekbones and jawline. He was almost her type. Just almost. She would totally go out with him if she wouldn't be wed and he wouldn't have kidnapped her. But his face was so familiar to her that she had the chills.
"I'm Raúl Blanco. It's so very nice to finally meet you Anne Wal- sorry now Davies. You do use your husband name," he looked deeply in her eyes as if he was waiting for her response.
"Yes," she replied, her voice hoarse. Her mouth felt like a desert.
"I've been watching you for a very long time Annie—,"
"Don't call me that," she interrupted him.
"Feisty? Don't worry it won't be for long. As I was saying. I've been watching you way before you met him," He referred to Edmund in such a disgusted tone. "I could treat you so much better. You're my true love. Please come with me," said the Raúl named guy in a desperate tone.
"You're sick," Anne's words hushed out like a whisper. "I won't come with you anywhere. I'd rather die than spend my time with you," she screamed.
"I told you to keep quiet, didn't I?" asked Raúl with such a look in his eyes Anne only saw in movies. It looked like a mix of obsession and bloodthirst. She could feel her fear in her bones. She had no time to react Raúl grabbed her by the throat and started to suffocate her. She was almost unconscious, but then she heard muffles yells, a sound like chairs being dragged and then a thud. She looked in Edmund's direction and he was on the ground sideways while he continued to yell.
"So you want to interfere? You are in big trouble now, mi amigo," he turned to Edmund with that same terrifying look in his eyes. He untied Edmund from his chair and grabbed the back of his shirt and started to drag him towards Anne. Edmund had no chance of protesting, since Raúl was much stronger than him. Raúl made him kneel before Anne and he stepped back.
"Milady, this is for you," Raúl reached behind his back and pulled a gun out of his trousers and shot Edmund in the head, his blood getting all over Anne. She let out an ear-piercing scream as Edmund dead body fell forward with a thud. Anne started to cry as the puddle of her dead husband blood reached her bare feet. She couldn't even shout she was so in shock. Raúl was walking towards her, stepping over Edmund and right into his blood.
"He doesn't deserve you mi amor. He's a bad man. He was just using you. I promise I'll be perfect for you," he said grabbing hold of Anne's cheeks and wiping away her tears. But Anne had other plans. She bit hard onto Raúl fingers. He quickly pulled away.
"Now that's not really nice, is it princesa? I thought you would cause me less trouble that that pathetic husband of yours," he said shaking his head.
"I don't want to be with you. Just kill me. I'm begging you. Kill me. KILL ME," Anne was deep into grief and she was ready to give up everything. She was ready to give up her own life. She simply couldn't imagine a life without her love.
"Well I want to give what is best for you. Just not this. I can't let you go princesa. You're my one and only. You're mine. And I don't let go easily of mine. But I can compromise," He said and then shot himself in the head. Anne was now covered in two men's blood. She was in this eerie basement alone with two dead bodies with nothing to eat or drink. She knew that in a few days she would die and she didn't know about the virus and bacterias in her system that got in from the ice her husband forgot not to ask.

It's been at least a day since Raúl killed Edmund and himself, leaving Anne tied up to a chair. She was on the verge of death. In and out of consciousness. She heard multiple people running behind her, then shouting.
