𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑-𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 had always been a flame. The moment words started tumbling out of his mouth, his tongue sharpened with each syllable. The advice his father had given him was to just keep quiet, not speak, so no problems could be caused.
So he did. And his flame was dulled, the first decade or so of his life was spent barely speaking. Of course, rumors spread. Some thought he was mute, some thought he just didn't know how to speak, some thought he was just stupid, and some thought he was crazy.
It wasn't until Hayden's freshman year of highschool that the flame started sparking back. He met a girl, Amber Freeman, in one of his classes and quickly became acquainted with her. She then introduced him to her circle of friends, which soon became his circle of friends.
And as school went on everything was great. His grades were good, his social life was good, his reputation was good. Then people started being killed, attempting to make a 'requel' to the original Woodsboro killings, as Mindy put it. Rumors again started, his peers marking him the main suspect, due to his uncle's... history.
Long story short, a bunch of his friends were killed, he got stabbed a few times himself, and turns out that the Ghostfaces were Richie Kirsch, Sam's boyfriend, and Amber fucking Freeman, the girl who he had considered his closest friend.
Now, Hayden, Tara, Mindy, Chad, and Sam are all living in New York, the first four attending college together.
Enter to the scene, 𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐑𝐘, fellow student and Chad's roommate. The more time Hayden spends around the teen, the more time he spends even just looking at him, his flame starts to spark more than it ever has.
