Elliot's POV

I watched as Ray's eyes widened and he scrambled for his journal, scribbling it down.

"Something happened with this," he whispered, covering his mouth and staring at the journal, the actual treat now laying on the bed long forgotten.

"Onomatopoeia?" He searched up an entire list, looking through each one and taking notes on what actions created on of those three sounds. Once he had them all he sighed, staring at them intently.

"There's nothing to go off of," he muttered.

"Looks like fighting words to me," I said.

"Yeah, it does." My head whipped over to him. He looked totally normal s if he didn't just reply to my own line of thinking. What the hell is going on? Did he actually hear me, or...?

He suddenly got up, grabbing his laptop and journal. He slipped on some slippers and rushed through me and out the doors. I hurried after him.

"Norman!" Ray announced his visit, slamming open the door to the previously moping pale kid. Said person looked up at the unannounced visitor as Ray laid down his findings. Acting almost as if nothing happened, he played the commercial, just those three seconds, and stared at Norman.

"This is?" Norman questioned, seemingly over the whole argument he was dragged into. I stared in shock as those two bounced right back into being buddy buddy again. These kids are built different, that's for sure. Physically, emotionally, behaviorally, and of course mentally.

"I remember someone saying this back at the house," Ray explained, showing Norman the journal. He took a quick glance at it, and I could barely understand if he read and comprehended it just that fast, or if he was using whatever available background knowledge to speed that process along. He looked at Ray with a serious face. Soon those two were in their own world, talking and theorizing about different possibilities, launching ideas off one another.

"So what we know is that it happened before our escape," Ray state, earning a nod from Norman.

"Right. None of our memories of after the escape seem off in any way. Everyone is there, and there's nothing really fuzzy. The fuzziness came right before Connie was shipped off."

"Woah woah woah," I interrupted. "Shipped off? That's- what even-"

"I think they tampered with my plan in telling you and Emma. I clearly remember putting Little Bunny in an obvious place, but it was different when you two found it."

"So that means they, Kieran, was there since then at the minimum."

They kept talking and I wasn't following at all. Orphans getting shipped? Some sort of big secret? Was the orphanage shipping kids off as some sort of human sacrifice to a religious cult? That'd explain the demons quite well.

"But it's strange," Norman thought out loud. "If Kieran was really with us since the beginning, why aren't our earliest memories foggy? Your memories the most of all since you don't have infantile or childhood amnesia."

"Nothing is wrong with my memory from those times," Ray answered, shaking his head. "The only parts of my memories that are weird is whenever it gets to Phil when he was starting to learn how to walk."

"So they just arrived then?"

"Impossible. It's hard to make out, but I think Kieran was the one helping teach Phil how to walk."

"What?!" Ray sighed, setting everything down.

"I don't know for sure, but it wasn't Mama or any of the older kids, that's for sure. There's just... no one there. But he's obviously walking towards someone or something. It's like he can see whatever it is he's seeing, but we can't. Not at that time at least."

"Do you think it could be a ghost?" Norman asked. Ray flopped down onto the bed.

"Just maybe."

A/N: Grinding out these chappies so fast you wouldn't even BELIEVE it!!! I'm writing so much it's actually crazy, like wow! It's like back when I was in my prime and just started Lonely in Neverland TTTTTTUTTTTTTT Those were the days when I just wrote pure crack without a care in the world about punctuation or anything. It was full on crack on top of crack. But OMK THEY ARE GETTING SO CLOSE TO FIGURING IT OUT!?!??!??! It's insane that they hit the ghost mark down. Will they continue with this line of thinking though? UMU You'll find out in the next chapter/chapters depending if they bail on it later on XDXDXD And don't worry, Tira's POV will make a comeback later on. It's not gonna be stuck on Elliot's. She's still the MC after all XDXDXD See you either today, later today, but for sure tomorrow XDXDXD
