The following extracts presented before you now are compiled from a sizable collection of witness accounts, courtroom record transcriptions, journal notes and; most bizarrely, a diary found in the possession of the deceased.

Please note that sensitive contents are commonplace in this trial and its aftermath. With a trial matter such as this, there is no doubt into the grimness of the events which transpired. Read at your own discretion and please take frequent breaks if the issues become too heavy to handle.

I am sure, even before reading through the details of this case, you have come to a conclusion about Robert Temple; such is the way with every criminal of this kind. All I ask, as the collator of this disturbing case, is that any confirmation bias you may have about the doctor will not affect your opinion on the case. I am well aware this is difficult to do- disregarding predispositions even for a short time can be near impossible with the modern issue of human perception- but I implore you to try your best.

New evidence has been recently discovered about some of the nuances of this case, hence the reopening of this file. I have tried to keep every account in this collection as chronological as can be but please excuse any discrepancies: some pieces of information simply do not make sense unless given the context beforehand. If this compilation serves its purpose, any new officer or detective should understand the full case no matter how long they have been working.

We have done our best to keep this impartial and unbiased as a team; while individual statements may be driven by emotion.

Thank you for your time,

Daniel Waters
