Chapter 23

~The Next Morning~

Niall's POV

I opened my eyes. I blinked so my vision would get used to the light. I groaned then rubbed my eyes. I turned to look around. I saw a white rose and a piece of paper. I grabbed the rose and the note. I grabbed the note and read it.

I'm sorry. I just need some time ~Kristy

I was confused at the note. I suddenly jumped up and ran out of the door. I used my vampire speed and ran towards Kristy's hospital room. I saw the bed was unmade and empty. I balled my fist and ran towards Harry's office.

"WHERE IS SHE?" I yelled at him running towards him.

"I don't know what your talking about." He said avoiding my eye contact.

"Well she's not in her room. And she left this note." I said throwing it on his desk. He slowly picked up the note and read it.

"YOU KNEW SHE WAS LEAVING." I yelled at him.

"No."

"Lie." I grabbed his neck and lifted him in the air choking him.

"You know this....isn't going to kill me." He said with a shaky breath.

"Oh I know but it will cause you pain." I heard the door open. I snapped my head in that direction. Rebecca was standing there with her mouth opened.

"Put me down." Harry told me kicking me.

"Not until I get answers. You know hiding a king's mate is against the law."

"You also know that attempting to kill a king is against the law." Harry choked out.

"NIALL LET HARRY DOWN." I turned around and saw Louis glaring at me with red eyes. I slowly placed him down. Harry gasped and his hands went to his neck. AJ ran towards him.

"How much did you see?" I asked them.

"Enough." Zayn told me. I sighed.

"Kristy's gone." I said wiping the sweat from my forehead.

"She's gone for a reason." Rebecca told me.

"Oh really and what might that be?" I asked her.

"She just needs time to herself. She's safer away from the palace."

"She's safe with me." I told her standing up.

"Not for what is about to come."

"Well i'm not stopping until I find her."

~3 Months Later~

Kristy's POV

I was walking around in the park trying to get my mind off of Niall. But for the past three months that's all I could think about. I was walking around the corner and saw two familiar faces. I took a second glance then quickly hid in the bushes.

"Z, I'm worried about Niall. He hasn't been the same since Kristy left."

"I am too. But he's gone into full vampire mood. He's already killed 5 humans in the past month. He's not stopping until he finds her."

"I just wish their was something we could do."

"Perz, you know that right now you have to worry about the baby. It's due any minute not. You can't worry about something else. Now why don't you go to the car I have do something really quick."

I didn't hear anything after that. I was suddenly pulled out of the bushes.

I attempted to scream but a hand was placed over my mouth.

"Don't make a sound I just want to talk." I heard Zayn's voice whisper in my ear. He let go of me and I quickly moved away from him.

"How'd you find me?" I asked him.

"Well I just did. I saw you jump into the bushes. You're not that good at hiding."

"How did you know it's me? I have a wig and fake contacts in."

"Your tattoo was showing."

"I knew I should've covered it." I mumbled to myself.

"If you're here to take me back. Well that's not going to happen. I still need time."

"I'm not going to do that. I know that everyone needs there time to deal with things. But i'm just happy that your safe. Niall has........"

"AHHHHHHHHHHH. ZAYN HELP."

"Grab on." Zayn pulled me towards him and soon we were in a parking lot. Perrie was being pulled away by a mysterious man. Zayn ran towards him and punched him then grabbed Perrie. I felt two arms wrap around my waist. Everything was just happening to fast.

"LET HER GO." Perrie screamed.

"Didn't you understand you were just the diversion."
