Clint was lost. Bucky was inconsolable. Both buried their heads deep into their work and missions, trying to fill the void that was created in their hearts. Asgard mourned the princess they never knew. Holding a funeral without a body. When the smoke had cleared, Thor discovered the charred remains of his fallen brother, but Winter's body was gone, nothing remaining of the niece he and Loki had grown to love. Odin saw to it that Tyr's body was buried deep underneath Asgard where a strong enchantment was placed over the tomb, ensuring that he would never rise again. The Avengers were busy with the sudden downfall of Hydra. The organization was in utter chaos when the mass majority of their foot soldiers suddenly all killed themselves.

A week later, Clint noticed Winter's bedroom door was partially opened. He stuck his head in to find Bucky sitting on her bed, with a picture frame in his hands.

"I thought I should pack her stuff up but realized she really didn't have much, just her pictures," Bucky said as a tear fell on the glass of the frame. The picture was of Bucky and Winter. Bucky had his arm around her shoulders laughing as she was smearing icing on his face from his birthday party. It was taken a month after they had found her.

Clint stood and looked at her walls. They were covered in photographs of her and the team. He walked over to her bedside table where a picture of the two of them sat. Clint sat next to Bucky on the bed.

"I'm taking some time off," Clint said softly. "Going back to the farmhouse."

Bucky nodded his head as he cleared his throat, "Yeah, I was thinking of spending some time in Romania. Get away for a while."

Clint clapped Bucky on the shoulder. "I'll see you around Barnes."

As Clint started to walk towards the door, Bucky spoke up, "Thank you for loving her."

Clint felt the tears well up in his eyes. He nodded his head as he walked out.

A month had gone by since Clint took leave from the Avengers. He spent his time fixing up the farmhouse. As he was working on the new posts outside the barn, a black SUV started pulling up the drive. Clint took his gloves off and threw them on the ground, his eyebrows furrowing as he saw Bucky step out of the passenger side.

"Bucky? What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were in Romania." Clint said as he walked over and shook Bucky's hand.

"I was but I found something that I think belongs to you," Bucky said as he gestured towards the SUV.

Clint looked confused as he watched Bucky open the backdoor to the SUV. As he saw the person step out, he felt his breath hitch as tears started falling. He put his hands on his head, turning away, trying to compose himself. He turned back around and saw Winter standing there timidly.

"How?" he asked through tears.

Winter's eyes glistened with tears as she shrugged, "I have an uncle who is apparently really good at faking his death."

Clint put his hand to his mouth, trying to hold back the sobs, "Why didn't you tell us?"

Winter hesitantly walked towards Clint, "We had to make it believable. As far as Hydra and everyone else knows, the Winter Witch is dead."

Clint took a deep breath, "But you're Asgardian. Your Grandmother explained that to me. Said you would outlive us all."

Winter cleared her throat, "I made a deal with Odin."

"What kind of deal?"

Winter continued to step slowly towards Clint. "I told him that if I took care of Tyr and ended this all, that I wanted a chance to have a normal life. As soon as Tyr died, I became human. No fire power, no mind powers, no..."

Before Winter could continue, Clint rushed towards her and crashed his lips against her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and his snaked around her waist, pulling her closer to him. As they broke away, Clint leaned his forehead against hers.

"So," said Winter as she lowered her eyes and played with the collar of his shirt, "does your offer of living here and starting a family together still stand?"

Clint laughed as he kissed her forehead, "Oh, a thousand percent yes!"

Winter squealed as Clint picked her up, kissing her deeply again.

"I love you Winter," he said with a smile.

She laid her forehead against his, "I love you too Clint."
