The melting creature let out a yawn, allowing its long arms to trail behind it.
And with that, so did trails of the slime making up their body.. Daisy isn't gonna be happy cleaning it up again.

"..derit ...mmmH" They mumbled as they walked into the bedroom belonging to their non-melting double.
Who didn't really want them to be in there in the first place, but, he wasn't in here right now.
It yawned once more before lowering itself to the ground, curling up into a ball.
They closed their eyes, as their body relaxed.
Until-

"Where did I leave that thing— AAH-"

"-HAA —gniht taht evael I did erehW"

Mortimer lifted his hands in front of his chest, as if to say 'Don't attack me, please'.
The creature simply looked at him, blinking, waiting for his next action.

"..Ah, i- it's you. Again. Of course. What are you doing here..?" He questioned the melting being.

"!ypeelS" It answered, ears perking up and split tail swaying.

"..On the floor?? How is that comfortable?"

The doppelgänger shrugged, moving into a sitting-up position.
Mortimer sighed, ears drooping.

"..Okay, look, I don't want my bed to get.. slime all over it, so.. uh, stay here, I'll be right back."

"!yakO ?hO"

...
...
After about 5 minutes, Mortimer returned with a sleeping bag.

"It's not much, but it's something to suffice, I suppose. I hope it's comfortable for you." Mortimer said as he set it on the floor.

The doppelgänger made a curious 'mew?' sound, crawling over to the sleeping bag.
They had never seen something like this before. But it felt nice, and it looked nice.
It used its hands to knead the material, eventually settling down into a 'loaf' position.
Mortimer couldn't help but chuckle. As weird as this thing was, and though he was initially terrified of it, it was kind of funny.
Within seconds, the creature had fallen asleep, a content purr emanating from their lips.
It wasn't even sleeping inside of the sleeping bag, just on top of it.

"Well, that- I guess that works for now." Mortimer said, scratching the back of their head.

Mortimer yawned. They were pretty tired themself, too.
He went over to his bed, laying down on top of it.

"..Goodnight."

Mortimer could've sworn he heard the creature reply, 'uoy knahT' in its sleep.
