Prologue: Year: 1978
In the darkened depths of the sea, where the mysteries of the ocean remained largely unexplored, a vessel named "The Abyssal Dawn" embarked on a fateful journey. On this ill-fated ship, a man named Cheskovic awoke from a hazy slumber, his mind clouded by confusion and disorientation. As he slowly regained consciousness, he realized with growing alarm that he was alone on the ship, surrounded by an eerie silence that seemed to echo through the empty corridors.
Cheskovic's memory failed him, leaving him in the dark about how he had come to be on this desolate vessel. Determined to unravel the enigma of his circumstances, he began to explore the ship, his footsteps resounding against the cold metal floor. Notes and audio logs, left behind by his fellow crewmates—Fred, Benedict, Elli, and the Captain—scattered throughout the ship would hold the answers he desperately sought.
As Cheskovic ventured deeper into the shadows of the ship, he discovered the haunting tale of an escaped creature. While he lay injured in the medical room, a malevolent force emerged from one of the containers the ship had been transporting. Fred's note revealed the chilling moment he stumbled upon the container, ripped apart from the inside. Elli's audio log spoke of a raging inferno that consumed the engine room, leaving behind a charred cavity in its wake.
With a growing sense of urgency, Cheskovic unraveled the ship's layout—a three-tiered structure comprising the Upper Level, where the helicopter was housed; the Middle Level, where the small submarine lay dormant; and the Bottom Level, home to the ravaged engine room. It became clear that his only hope of survival lay in escaping via one of these means: the helicopter, the life raft, or the submarine.
Each escape route presented its own set of challenges. The helicopter required two gas canisters, a gas pump, keys for the door, and a chain breaker to release it from its chains. The life raft, in a state of disrepair, needed duct tape to mend its punctures, a chain for mobility, and a pump for inflation. The submarine, once restored, necessitated a functioning headlight, a power cell, burner repairs, and a fuse to initiate the countdown that would unlock the sealed doors. However, activating the countdown would also awaken the relentless monster, hell-bent on destruction.
As Cheskovic scoured the ship for the necessary items, he stumbled upon a cache of tools that could aid in his survival. Radios and Egg Machines proved effective distractions, diverting the attention of the relentless creature. Lighters, torches, and glowsticks illuminated the dim corridors, guiding Cheskovic through the ship's murky depths. And in moments of desperation, a flare gun could provide temporary respite, momentarily incapacitating the relentless pursuer.
Chapter 1: Awakening in the Abyss
Cheskovic groaned as he slowly regained consciousness. His head throbbed with pain, and his body felt heavy. Blinking his eyes open, he found himself lying on the cold metal floor of a dimly lit room. Confusion and disorientation washed over him as he struggled to remember how he ended up here.
As the fog lifted from his mind, Cheskovic realized he was on a ship. The sound of creaking metal and the faint smell of seawater filled the air. Pushing himself up, he took a moment to assess his surroundings. The room appeared to be some sort of storage area, with crates and equipment scattered haphazardly.
