"Wakey wakey sleepy head." My mom said, opening the curtains.

"Mom, it's only 07:00. Let me sleep." I said, pulling the covers over my head.

"Nope, we have guests...and they're already here!"

"What? Who?" I asked, getting up instantly.

"Josh's family." My mom said.

"What?! They're already here?! Mom, why didn't you tell me?!" I said, rushing to the shower.

.....

I checked myself one more time in the mirror to make sure I was presentable, then I went downstairs. I put my hair in a messy bun and I was wearing a tank top, sweatshirt and sweatpants. I didn't bother with makeup and I ran out of contact lenses, so I had to wear my glasses. Yeah, I wear contacts.

As soon as I walked in the kitchen, I greeted Anne. Anne and my mom were making brunch and they told me Josh and his dad were in the Chill Zone (a room in my house filled with lots of entertainment).

"Hey Soph, how's it going?" Ryan (Josh's dad) asked me while he was walking down the stairs.

"Things are going great thanks Ryan." I said to him.

I walked into the Chill Zone and saw Josh on his phone. When he looked up at me, he must've been surprised to see me wearing glasses, because he just stared at me.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." I said, rolling my eyes.

"You wear glasses?" Josh asked.

"Yeah, I usually wear contacts but I  ran out of them."

Josh smiled back then stood up to pick up the darts.

"Wanna play?" Josh asked.

"Sure, but just warning you, I kill at this game." I said really proudly.

"Wanna bet?" Josh smirked.

"Alright. So what am I going to win?"

"Okay Sophie, hold your horses. You might be surprised by how well I can play." Josh said.

"Don't think so."

"Whoever wins gets to choose the movie tonight." Josh declared.

"You're staying over night?" I asked.

"Yeah, you didn't know?" Josh said, smirking.

"Shut up." I said, playfully.

.......

"Josh, Sophie come down here really quick!" Anne shouted from the kitchen.

Josh and I were done playing darts, and I won. Obviously.

"What were you guys doing?" Anne asked.

"We were just playing darts."  Josh said.

"Who won?" my mom asked, smiling.

"Me." I said beaming.

"Wanna help Anne and I bake cookies?" my mom asked.

"Mom, is that even a question?" I said, grabbing my apron. "Let's get baking!"

"You sound like one of those cheesy bakers that have their own baking show." Josh smirked.

"No one asked." I said, slapping him on the back.

I noticed that Anne and my mom were doing the same thing that they did the other night. They were looking at each other, then looking at Josh and I, then looking at each other, then smiling.
