Chapter 5

It took him quite a while to tell me what was going on, but in the end, he did. He kept his promise that he would tell me, but he didn’t tell me everything. He had to read the letter at least 5 times before he told me.

“I’m Blake, I made up the name Mason Blunt, I am Blake Wolf, the necklace belongs to me and so does the letter,” He said extremely quickly.

“You’re Blake? Then why did you tell me you weren’t?”

“I - I can’t tell you,”

“You said you would!”

“I know but it’s too bigger secret,”

“Secret?”

“Yes,”

“I guess I’m just going to have to keep the necklace then, at least tell me who Trinity is,”

“Please, I need that necklace, I can’t tell you because I’ve never told anyone else and I’ve only just met you, but I will tell you who Trinity is. She’s my ex. That’s it, I stupidly gave her my skull necklace and I didn’t realise I gave her the wrong one, I have two you see, two the same but I gave her the wrong one. I need it back just in case-”

“You found out,”

“Yes, what does it mean?”

“What bit?”

“All of it, the rhyme and the letters, what does it mean?”

“To be honest I don’t know, those pieces of paper belong to my dad, he never told me,”

“So why do you need the paper so badly?”

“Because I do! Those two pieces of paper are everything and I needed to know they are still there and I need to keep them safe,”

“Wait, there was only one piece of paper in the skull,”

“What? So Trinity has the other one? No, no, no, no, no!”

“Calm down, what did the other one have on it?”

“It had another drawing of a skull with flowers on it, with words saying beauty inside and out,”

“Why?”

“Like I said, I don’t know, but what I do know is that I need it, asap,”

“Okay, okay I’ll give it to you, calm yourself, just one more question, why did you say Blake hadn’t lived here in a year?”

“Because I didn’t want you to know that I’m Blake,”

“But you could’ve just said you didn’t know him, but you didn’t why?”

“Because if you knew anything about me then I needed to know what, and if I had no clue who he was I couldn’t ask you questions about him could I?”

“But what is so special about you? You own a skull necklace with little rhyme inside and you hide your identity, who are you and why are you so special?”

“Why would I tell you? Why am I telling you? You know a lot, you can’t say anything, come here tomorrow with the necklace same time, but you can’t know anymore. I don’t even know you, I have no idea who you are or whether I can trust you or not, now go, I don’t know what made me tell you but I’m not telling you anymore, go, go, I’ll see you tomorrow, but after that, no more,”
