Dipper Pines looked at the camera he held. "Oh— It works! I can't believe it actually worked— Hello! Um. . . Whoever I let see this besides me and my sister. My name is Dipper Pines, and, well. . . You might be wondering where I am right now."

Around Dipper was nothing but a white endless void filled with doors, each door had a different coloured doorknob, some looked the same, but the shade was different, even in the slightest.

"This, right here, is the Multiverse, according to. . ." Dipper turned his head, searching for his sister. "What was the— Mabel!"

Mabel stopped opening the door with a bright cyan doorknob and looked over her shoulder to her brother. "What?"

"Mabel, don't open that yet!"

She ran to him, seeing the camera. "Oh, you're recording!" she took it from her brother. "Hello, my future boyfriend! You're going to see your sweet Mabel in great adventures, many different cute outfits and personalities!"

Dipper took the camera from her. "Mabel, we can't just show this to whoever you fall in love with and might date!"

She took offense. "Why not? Don't you trust me?"

Based on the previous incidents with boys they had last summer in Gravity Falls and the fact that he was sure she didn't change in the slightest. . . No, he did not. At least on that, he didn't trust her on that.

Dipper looked at the camera. "Anyways, a person — who didn't seem to be older than Wendy — will be guiding me and Mabel through the multiverse. . . Of swapped universes. . ." he looked down, muttering. "Did that phrase make sense?"

"Maybe there's a universe we don't even exist!" Mabel gasped after saying. "Does that mean Bill would win?"

Dipper looked horrified. "Of course not! M—Maybe there was someone else to stop him, I'm sure! Those are swaps, not 'what if's." he stopped and thought about his sentence. "Well, technically, swapping roles is a 'what if' situation, isn't it?"

"Is Dawn here? I wanted to give him a sweater I made!" Mabel pulled up an orange sweater with a sunrise in the middle. "I heard it's winter where he lives right now."

"Dawn! That's the name I was looking for," Dipper blurted, louder than intended, embarrassed as he realised. "Um. . . I think Dawn is waiting for us to choose a universe, I don't know."

"He could be invisible, hiding in here!" Mabel said.

"You're no fun, Star Mabel."

The twins turned to the tall person leaning on a door with a pair of deer antlers on top of it, the doorknob being a reddish brown. Mabel waved at them. "Hi, Dawn!"

"Why are you leaning on that door?" Dipper asked.

Dawn shrugged. "I don't know, Pine Dipper," they replied. "Why are you recording and to who?"

To no one, yet. But he was sure that maybe, in the future, he'd find someone who'd be interested in learning about the supernatural. Maybe he could show an apprentice, or a very trustworthy and close friend. But for now, he'd keep it only to him and Mabel. And make sure to hide it from her whenever there's a boy around her, just until this boy crazy phase of hers stops.

"You know all of those universes?" Mabel asked, now just a few centimeters of distance from the creature.

Dawn laughed. "Oh, I wish I knew all of those!" they replied. "Learning of those is mostly a job — or a thesis, project, could be many things to my species — we all love to learn about you humans."

Dipper raised an eyebrow. "And what is your species?"

With a smile and a blink, Dawn replied: "Angels,"

The twins gasped — Dipper's was more silent while Mabel's was loud enough to cause an echo. "You're an angel?!"

Dipper ran to Dawn. "Angels, like, the opposite of demons?"

"One of many," Dawn looked away. "Demons have the tendency of having so many things to oppose with others. . ." they looked back at the twins. "But yeah, Angels are one of the opposites."

He smiled wide. "So that's how you know of the multiverse? And— you know more than my uncle, I know you do!"

"Maybe," Dawn replied teasingly. "But well, I can't tell." they pinched his nose. He shook his head and backed away, getting a laugh from Dawn. "You're adorable, Pine Dipper."

Dawn crossed their arms and looked around. "Well, any moment now, choose your universe!"

The twins looked around, Mabel rushed to the door she almost opened before Dipper interrupted her. Dipper turned to the camera he held. "Well, now you know Dawn," he laughed nervously.

"Dipper! C'mon! I'm curious about this one!" Mabel shouted from the door.

Dipper went to that door as well and read the sign hanging on it: 'Reverse Falls'.

"Reverse Falls. . . That sounds cliché," Dipper commented.

"Depending on which one you're talking about, it is." Dawn replied, suddenly popping next to Dipper. He flinched at the sudden appearance, Dawn chuckled.

"Wait, what do you mean by 'which one'—"

"Oh heck!" Mabel exclaimed.

Dipper looked at the opened door with Mabel, his eyes went wide at the sight. "Holy—"

"Careful, Pine Dip,"

He turned to Dawn. "Why are there infinite doors inside this one? You said we opened the door and—"

"I know, I know, I should've explained better," Dawn said. "Well. . . The Multiverse is a complex thing. Apparently, it wasn't satisfied with just one, neither two interpretations, but it had to make around a thousand of them," they shrugged. "And honestly, depending on which one we're talking about, very few things change."

Dipper sighed. "I hope this isn't boring, neither it takes forever." he mumbled.

"You can come back another time if you don't want to explore it all at once," Dawn said.

"Good," Dipper said.

"Look at that one with the Shooting Star at the top!" Mabel pointed.

Dawn looked over it, seeming to recognise it, but didn't say anything.

"Hey, is that a hippie symbol?" Dipper asked, looking at a door that was closer than the one Mabel pointed at.

Dawn also recognised that one.

"There's a chicken too!" Mabel giggled. "It reminds me of when I got Waddles, and Pacifica was pecked by a chicken."

Dawn snickered. "That was a funny scene,"

"You've watched us the entire time?" Dipper asked.

"Not on the exact time it happened, but I did watch you," Dawn replied. "Almost every angel did. Except the lazy ones," they humphed. "That's why you're still in First Grade,"

The twins shared a confused look, but didn't say anything.

"Can we go there?" Mabel asked.

"Of course, go anywhere as long as you tell me, of course. I can't be losing the Originals in this endless hall of doors." Dawn replied.

"Let's go." Dipper said.

The three went to the door together. Dipper held the doorknob, but didn't open it yet. He read the sign hanging on the door. "Reverse Falls: DS"; He turned the doorknob and opened it, seeing a whirling portal. The three went through the portal and the door shut itself behind them.
