not so secret wings....

Angels POV.

Warm..... Hmmm? I opened my eyes and yawned. Wha...? Oh.... Right. I was at Jens... On the couch. I lifted my head and looked for her. I sat up and streached. My back hurt. Sleeping on the floor was much more comfortable. "Jen...?" I called.

"Kid, you up? Naahhhh... I have to talk to you about something...." She said.

I nodded as she walked into the room and sat down next to me. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked, in general confusion.

"Well, last night while you were sleeping I..... I kinda..... Um... I was petting your head right?" She said. I nodded, still not sure where this was going. "Well, I petted your head and... Oh, I'll just say it! Wings kid. I know you have Wings." She waited for a response.

My eyes widened in fear. I pushed myself away from her and fell on the floor, still scooting away. She knew.... She knew I had wings... Yuki said if anyone found out, theyed tell everyone and I'd go back to the facility..... Noooo...

"Woa! Kid, hey, you alright?" Jen asked walking towards me. I put my hands on my head and looked up at her with such fear, tears briming in my eyes. She stopped coming towards me and looked at me with a worried expression. She said something but i was to scared to understand.

She said it again, this time I kind of heard. What happened? Why are you so scared? What did I do? I replied in a quiet shakey voice. "B-b-because... If a-anyone knows I have... W-wings... I'll have to go back to the..... The facility...." I was shivering now. The thought terrified me. It didn't before, but i remember what the mans in that Scarry room I went into while Calcifer was helping me escape said. 'Kill it' if I went back, I would die...

"Hey, hey! I won't tell! I won't tell anyone." She spoke frantically. She searched her pockets and pilled something out. She stuck it in my mouth. So Sweet! My expression changed from fear to a mix of confusion wonder and joy. Jen laughed. "That's called a jolly rancher. Good isn't it?" I nodded. She put her hand on my head. "I won't tell. Ok? I promise."

I looked up at her, sucking on the jolly rancher. She ruffled my hair. "O-ok....." I said.

"Its perfectly fine if you say no, but um.., can, can i, feel your wings." Jen said while avoiding my gaze. I nodded, and let out my wings. Jen held one of them and stroked it. It felt realy good...

"Mmmm...." I hummed.

"Wow.... Can you really fly?" Jen asked. I nodded. Jen petted both my wings, and I rested my head on her lap. It felt really nice. She stopped petting me. I looked up. "Your healed! Your fore head, there's not even a scar anymore! What's it been, a few days? You must have like, super fast healing powers or something!" She exclaimed.

Well, my head did feel better. Yay! Now Yuk- oh... But yuki was gone.... And probably never coming back.... I sighed sadly. "Hey, what's wrong?" Jen asked.

"Yuki's never coming back, is she?" I said.

"What? Of course she is! In fact, I saw her in that ally yesterday. She won't abandon you." Jen said

"Ok..." I replied.

Jen smiled and pulled me up onto the couch to sit with her. "Oh, can I ask a favor?" She said.

"Favor...?" I asked.

"If your friend do sent pick you up by tomorrow, can you please stay upstairs the whole day? My brothers coming over and he... He probably wouldn't like you...." She said.

I pouted. "Ok." I wouldn't want to get jen in trouble. She patted my head again and thanked me.

It was the next day now. Jen had said I must stay upstairs. Knock knock. I heard the door knock! I peeked down the stairs and saw jen let some guy in. He looked really scary. Jen seemed to mlik him though. She punched him lightly and called him 'little bro'. How was he little? He was taller then jen...

I went into the upstairs bathroom and sat in the empty 'bathtub'. I was used to having nothing to do for hours, days even weeks at a time. I closed my eyes for a second...

Someone's holding their hand out towards me. I can't see their face. But I can see the tears streaming down it. I'm falling. I can't hear, but I know they're screaming. Everything else is white.

I sat up really fast. What was that? I rub my eyes. Did I fall asleep? Well, that was all I could really do besides stare at a wall. Was Jens brother gone? I stepped out of the bathtub, but fell because my legs were tingling. What? Ow! It was such an odd sensation! Painful and ticklish at the same time!

I tried to use the sink to pull myself up, but my hand slipped on a red stick with bristles and it fell into the large water bowl jen called a toilet. A bottle, a soap, and another stick with bristles fell on my head. My hand got caught in the 'toilet paper holder' with blue sticky stuff called 'tooth paste'. I tried to get up again, but that time I accidentally pushed my back against the bottle and sticky stuff poured out. I think it was shampoo.

Jen's brother burst into the bathroom and saw me on the floor, my legs immobile, my hand and the toilet paper holder covered in blue stuff, lying in a goopy pink puddle, with the bottle and colored sticks surrounding me. He looked really mad and surprised....

Jen ran up behind him and saw me. She looked like she wanted to laugh but she also looked kinda terrified. "I'm sorry!! My legs stopped working!!" I squeaked frantically.

Jen put her hand on her forehead and said some word I couldn't quite hear right.

"Jennifer..." Her brother said angrily.
