Part-2

Chapter 1

When we thought they had left we came a little closer and peeked into the corridor. No one was around. We made a run for it. We were running anxiously and cautiously taking turns after turns stopping in front of the huge gate. We looked behind to see if we had been followed. To our utter dismay we saw the leader's army gaining on us.

I was now very irritated. I looked at Addam with a look that said everything I wanted to tell him in a few seconds. We looked behind us and sprinted. We sprinted towards one of the cars. Addam and I had been friends for long so we knew what the other wanted to say just by their expression. That is if they are not disguising themselves to the fullest. unlike someone who is running beside me. But whatever we do not have time for that.

We reached the car and Addam used his lock picking skill while I looked at the approaching crowd of angry bodyguards coming our way. He was taking a long time, so I went and stood in front of him to protect us from any danger. He finally shouted.

"Hey I have opened the door but I need some more time to be able to get the car to function without a key."

I sighed and dropped myself into a fighting pose. The bodyguards came swarming in like bees. I kicked the first bodyguard unconscious and started kicking and punching the bodyguards. They were easy to beat. I used one of the unconscious bodyguard's heads as support to float in the air to be able to kick them on their heads. 5 more bodyguards down. Let us go! While my attacks on the others one of them grabbed me from behind. I used my elbow to land a hard punch on the guy's face. He let go and I continued with my killing spree.

"How long will it take you to get the car going" I asked amidst my killing spree.

"Just a few more seconds" he replied.

Ugh. I was getting exhausted now. But here goes nothing. I ran towards all the guards. When I was in the middle I squatted down and with one of my legs out I spun. The guards beside me started to fall as I continued my rotation. A few seconds later I had the area around me cleared. I took the opportunity to run. I ran towards one of the cars away from ours. While running I slid and went under the car. A few guards unable to stop themselves in time hit the car and went backwards pushing the rest of them along. When they came closer, I used a car part to give me a push and attack them with my feet. Making them fall backwards.

That is when I heard Addam.

"Maeve come quick it's done."

I came out and sprinted towards him and the car. He was already seated in the driver's seat and the door of the back seat was open. I jumped inside the car. Even before I could close the door he started driving. But one of the bodyguards had gripped the door and was flying with the wind. It was a bit funny I would say. But there was no time to laugh, he was trying to climb the door and enter the car. I kicked his hand twice or thrice while holding one of the seats. But this man was adamant. He was not leaving the door, so I kicked him in the face. Which made him lose a tooth but did not make him loosen his grip. That is when I remembered. I could use the dagger.

Addam and I had engraved each other's initials on a dagger which looked exactly the same when we were very young. I had decided to carry it with me wherever I went. So, I took it out and pushed it inside the man's hand. I needed to use a lot of pressure as it was extremely blunt. He screamed loudly and let his hand go. As soon as he had let go, I closed the door.

"What a good riddance." I said exhausted. Just to find our car headed towards the closed door at an extremely fast rate. Addam didn't hesitate and kept driving. Increase the speed with every second.
