ONE- THE DAY

"HURRY UP!" my little sister Oakley says from the front door. "SHUT UP IM COMING!" I yell from my room picking up my keys on my dresser. I run downstairs to find my sister glaring at me from being slow.

"Alright let's go" I say as my sister opens the door and runs to my black dodge challenger.
Every day me and my little sister Oakley go to the same smoothie shop to buy the exact same smoothie every day... and I mean EVERY DAY.

After a 10 minute drive from our house to the smoothie shop, we hop out the car.

With Oakley right behind me I don't pay any attention while opening the glass shiny door and I'm colliding with a tall muscular body.

I look up and the first thing I notice is his piercing hazel eyes and black hair. I quickly apologize "I'm so sorry" I say, as I feel my face heat up.

"It's fine" he replied, "just watch were your going love" he says, with a small smile he moves out the way and starts walking down the board walk.

"C'mon Oakley" I say as I nudge her into the shop. We headed up to the counter and ordered our regular, for Oakley it's always 'strawberry and banana with whipped cream' and as always I get 'Açaí berry with whipped cream'.

After we received our smoothies, we head outside to sit at a bench to enjoy the hot weather we've been having.

"Gosh it's so hot... do you like your smoothie Oaks" I ask. She quickly nods her head with a bright smile. I smile back as I put my sunglasses on and sip my smoothie as I look out at the beach filled with hundreds of people along the crystal clear water.

This time of year there's always people. I've grown used to all the people from living here for about 2 years with my family since we've moved here from Texas. It's been a huge change but but my family needed the change.

I've finished Highschool back in Texas, my parents thought it would be best to move here after the accident and thought it would be best to have a 'new start'.

After me and Oakley finish our smoothies we throw them out and head back to the car. Once we get to the car I start driving back home to drop Oakley off so I can head to my best friend Laneys house.

Laney and I met from seeing each other every day at the smoothie shop. She used to work there until she got mad at a customer for throwing a smoothie on her. Crazy right? Like Laney wasn't in the wrong when she poured one back on the lady and started adding toppings on her head....I would've made her manager of the year.

I arrive at Laney's house after I dropped Oakley off and walk right in her house. We've known each other long enough that her parents love me.

"Hi Rose" I say to Laneys mom. "Hi honey, Laney's upstairs." she replies. "Alright, thank you" I say as I head upstairs to her room. "What's up weirdo" I say as I lay on her bed next to her watching 'Finding dory'. "Hey B" she says.

"Is this all we're doing for the rest of the day?" I ask. "Yes it is because you know how lazy I am to go anywhere." she says.

"Good because I really hoped to get in a quick nap" I say as I snuggle up to her and close my eyes.Tiredness took over and I fell into a peaceful sleep.

I suddenly woke up to a dark room. I felt around and felt Laneys body next to mine and I let out the breath I was holding.

"I love u Laney, bye" I whisper but know she can't hear me. I quietly sneak out so I don't accidentally wake someone up. I head outside to my car and do my nightly routine.
