Chapter 20: Perfect movie

After several hours of shopping, Lalisa and Jungkook finally exited the shopping mall with Jungkook holding several bags in each hand.

Lalisa watched as Eunwoo helped carry the bags onto the trunk of the car and gulped. This shopping experience was very. . . weird. It was almost as if she was shopping with the bank itself.

Even when she just took a second glance at an item, Jungkook would immediately buy it. So Lalisa didn't even know most of the stuff they had bought.

She sat back down in the car and slowly put on her seatbelt.

"What movie do you want to watch?" Jungkook asked as he scrolled through the list of movies.

"Any. . ."

Lalisa sat down on the bench with a large tub of popcorn in her arms as Jungkook went to go line up for the movie tickets.

She swung her legs forward and back as she chewed on the crunchy popcorn. Jungkook was very conspicuous in the line of people because of his tall height and extremely attractive face.

Lalisa noticed a girl around her age from the line next to Jungkook pull out her phone and take a picture of him. Lalisa pouted unhappily as she took a sip of soda. Her boyfriend was way too attractive.

Although their relationship was still considered fake, there was still a feeling of annoyance when she saw other women fangirling over her partner.

She grabbed the bottle of coke and hugged the large tub of popcorn to her chest before standing up and running over to Jungkook.

"Why did you come over?"

Lalisa smiled sweetly, "I'll wait with you."

Jungkook looked down at the little girl still eating popcorn and smiled. Why was she so cute?

The two of them walked into the dark movie room and heard the sound of ads being played on the big screen right now.

Up until now, Lalisa still didn't know what movie Jungkook had chosen, but she trusted his decision.

A few minutes later, the movie began playing, and Lalisa's hand that was reaching for popcorn froze when she saw the movie title.

". . ." Lalisa wanted to run out of the movie theater right now. Did Jungkook really just pay to come in and have a history lesson?

"Is this the movie you picked?" Lalisa asked.

"Yes, is there something wrong?" Jungkook leaned towards Lalisa, and even in the dark, Lalisa could see his attractive facial features.

". . . No. . ." Lalisa turned back and leaned back on the movie seat. Jungkook didn't eat the popcorn so she moved the entire bucket onto her lap and began to focus on eating.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough popcorn in the bucket to last her through the full two-hour documentary, and she finished halfway through the movie.

Lalisa placed the empty bucket on the floor and turned to look at Jungkook. How was he surviving?

She looked at the black and white screen and tried to focus, but her eyelids slowly got heavier and heavier, until they closed.

The lights in the movie theater opened again and the few people watching slowly got out of their seats and walked out.

Jungkook turned his head around and saw Lalisa sleeping soundly next to him. Her mouth was open and her hair was slightly messed up from rubbing against the chair.

Jungkook smiled and watched her sleep for a while. Watching her sleep was much more interesting than watching the documentary. . .

Until the movie screen had completely turned black after the long list of credits, Jungkook stood up and took off his black suit jacket.

He wrapped it around Lalisa's knees and covered up her legs before he lifted her off the chair. Lalisa moved a little from the movement but continued to sleep.

Her small hand clutched onto Jungkook's sleeve as she took in the light and pleasant smell of mint that came from his body.

Jungkook walked out of the theater and he attracted glances from several people, all looking at him and the woman in his arms.

Eunwoo was waiting outside and he almost tripped over himself when he saw that his boss was carrying Lalisa in his arms.

What happened? Did Miss Kim faint? Or get hurt? Eunwoo ran over to Jungkook and stretched out his arms in a way to suggest for Jungkook to hand Lalisa over to him, "What's wrong with Miss Kim? Is she hurt?"

Jungkook kept a strong grip on Lalisa and ignored Eunwoo as he walked over to the car door, "She's sleeping."

Eunwoo froze and forgot to open the door for Jungkook. That's it? She's just sleeping? His boss really carried Miss Kim from the movie theater all the way to the car just because she was sleeping.

If it had been anyone else, even his mom, Eunwoo was certain that Mr. Jeon would have probably woken the person up before walking away on his own.

Eunwoo started the car and made a mental note to gain the favor of Miss Kim because there was a high chance that she would be their future lady boss!

The car drove to a restaurant and when the car came to a stop, Lalisa woke up.

"Where are we?" She asked as a yawn escaped her mouth.

"Let's go eat lunch." Jungkook helped Lalisa unbuckle her seatbelt and got out of the car. Still in a daze, Lalisa did the same and followed Jungkook into the high-end restaurant.

The restaurant was designed in an oriental theme and even the door was made of gold. There were two large golden lion sculptures at the front of the restaurant and they sparkled under the bright sunlight.

"Welcome, Mr. Jeon." The waiter took a second look at the woman walking behind Jungkook before leading them over to the private VIP room in the back of the restaurant.

Once they sat down, over ten dishes of food were carried out onto the table. Since Lalisa only ate an ice cream since the morning, she was starving.

At once, she picked up her chopsticks and began eating. After she had finished a whole bowl of rice, she suddenly remembered that she wasn't alone.

Lalisa awkwardly looked up and saw that Jungkook was smiling at her. She squeezed out a smile and pointed at the food on the table, "Eat. . . eat. . ."

"I like watching you eat," Jungkook replied.

"Ha. . . ha. . . ha. . . okay then." Lalisa looked back down as she continued eating. The food was really good.

Lalisa ended up eating almost half of the food on the table whereas Jungkook only ate a few bites. She felt genuinely bad for eating so much, so when the waiter brought the check up, she immediately snatched it and said, "I'll pay for the meal. . ."

Her voice died down after seeing the number on the check.

4573 dollars. . . A meal for two people cost 4573 dollars! A four person family could eat a hundred meals with that amount of money.

Jungkook pulled out his wallet and grabbed the check away from Lalisa, "I brought you here. I'll pay."

Lalisa bit her lips and didn't say anything more. As they waited for the worker to bring the check back, Lalisa pulled out her phone and scrolled through the news.

A picture popped up in the hottest topics and it looked quite familiar but she couldn't figure out where she had seen it.

After staring at the picture blankly for several seconds, her eyes widened. The dress the woman was wearing in the picture. . . her dress.

This picture was of her and Jungkook!
