7:05 am. Sunday. The phone buzzed multiple times as Hannah continued to sleep after her late night shift last night.
Her phone kept buzzing continuously until she finally decided to wake up and see who had called her.
"5 missed calls from Maya," she whispered sleepily. She dialed back the number and waited until Maya, her younger sister, answered.
Right after Hannah called Maya, the phone connected and there was a sound of rustling and panic. "Hannah, you need to come home right now, please. I'll explain when you're here."
The call got disconnected and Hannah was left confused, what could have possibly happened?
She got up from her bed and went to look for her suitcase to get packed to leave to go home.
She had packed and called for a taxi. Once in the taxi, she felt a strange feeling like going home was a bad idea. She tried to ignore the thoughts and looked out the window trying to enjoy the view.
"One hour more." she thought.
Once the taxi was on the road to the town she used to live in, she saw that the trees seemed dead and everything was dusty and dry looking, as if it hadn't rained in a while.
The people of the town looked at the taxi in a weird manner and observed it while it pass through.
