" Dear Old Love... You're not gone. "

✨️🌑✨️

_______________

To say devastation had befallen us would be the least you could proclaim.. We were more than devastated , it was unbelievable if I were to say so myself......Now , as we lie beneath the seemingly dark sky with a drearily blue aura engulfing the forest and all things in it , tears would swell in the most heartbroken's eyes.

Esmaralda laid upon the path , cursing it , hitting it , abusing it with her words though no matter her begging and pleading , the silhouette of her lover would not appear anywhere , she could not be seen coming from any angle of the dreary forest.. You would think with the bloodiness of the trees it would be an aura that were redder than red , yet Diana could digress being calmed by the wavering blues.

My footsteps were light as I approached the girl , unable to bear awaking any of the others as sleeping would now be our only escape from the wicked and upgraded skills of the forest.

Her eyes were filled will tears and her silver hair glimmered under the moonlight , her beautiful blue eyes puffy and wet with tears... What an unbearable sight , how comfort could do nothing for the loss of this girl... Just as how it were when I lost my sister to the wonders of the forest , it gave me a sense of bond... Some type of traumatic connection.

I knelt beside her , soon fixing myself to lie down, my eyes analyzing the broken girl. My voice was soft and came across quickly but still was dripping with comfort as I said...

" Are you alright? " I asked , then hastily internally facepalming at my question... Ofcourse Y/n , Ofcourse she isn't alright.

Esmaralda turned her head to gaze at my face , realizing why exactly I looked as such. She gave me a polite yet forced smile and turned to face the blinking stars that were so far away yet seemed so close.. Another trick maybe? Though in her eyes everything seemed far away , as as long as a certain someone wasn't there with her , she felt everything had distance.

" I.... "
" No need to answer that , I was being dumb.. "

I quickly interrupted and without hesitation she chuckled lightly , her chuckling soon turning into light sobs that I quickly assisted her in avoiding.

" No.. no , it's all perfectly splendid.. " She spoke harshly , her voice coarse as she gulped , her eyes devolving of emotions she had harbored before.

" It's all my fault.... I allowed her to come here.. I made it take her- I'm horrible w-why! " The tears grouped along the curved line of her eyes and threatened to spill , though being that one particular droplet had felt the need to be selfish , it alone cascaded down her pink cheek.

My arms helped me up so that I was able to peer down at the girl , my eyes holding a dreadful tint behind it.
" Now don't say that Meralda!... " I spoke up , whisper shouting as my heart still ached at the thought of waking the others from their slumber. " You're not in the wrong here my love , neither of you are... If anything I am. " I spoke to her , my voice breaking as I did.

She glared at me upon taking in my statement and sat up too , our eyes now in a battle of who exactly was in the wrong.. And as much as I was stubborn I was never too good with eye contact , and so I hoped she was even worse.
