For long as I can remember, I'd dreamed about going to England the summer before college. I did...it just turned out a lot differently than I thought it would.

"Oh, and Dannie don't forget to call me when you land in London, and don't forget to call me every day, and-" my mom said as she drilled me for the fiftieth time that morning.

"OK, OK. Mom I'm going to be fine. I understand that people are dangerous and that just because the guys have an accent doesn't mean they're any different from the ones here, I understand. I won't stay out too late, and I won't talk to any and every one," I interrupted.

"Hey Dannie," my older brother Connor said, making me spin around to face him "Give Mom a break, you're going to a different continent. Even though I'll be in Manhattan with Kyler at his at his parent's vineyard, you call me anytime. Even if it's just to talk, ya' know just catch up. Try your best not to call seven times a day though," Connor said laughing at his own lame "but just know that when you need me I'll be there for you." "I know that too, Connor. Although I wouldn't wait by the phone, I plan on having one amazing summer" I laughed.

"Ya I know, and that's why I don't want you to leave," said my younger brother Liam, quite angrily. "Why so hostile?" I asked him. "So that's why you've been so quiet this whole time. You think that just because I'm going off to college, I'll forget about you. Well I just want you to know that, just because I don't call or Skype you every day... well that's pretty much it." I joked. "Dannie" said Liam almost immediately after he shot me with a hurt look. "I'm kidding...maybe." I said looking up at the ceiling as if that was going to make me sure. "Ya I'm kidding"

It was then that as I looked into eyes that were staring at with that same adoring look as I was giving them, that I realized how much I was going to miss him. "Liam, look at me, I will not forget about you. I will call, text, and Skype you every day if you want me too, OK." "I just don't want you to forget about me" he added quickly. "OK, you guys have nothing to worry about, and you, will always be my little brother no matter how far away I am. You couldn't get rid of me even if you wanted to," I reassured him.

Then as I looked into my dad's tear filled eyes as he said "My little girl is finally growing up." I replied by saying "Oh dad don't cry or you'll get me started. Believe me, this dam is about to break and you do not want to see these water works." After we hugged one last time I joined my friends Kelsie and Bethany in the customs line.

I didn't cry until I heard the plane's engine, then the pilot started to drive across the runway. I don't even know when I started to cry. When we took off I looked at the window and I saw my tear streaked reflection staring back at me.
