you can't make me

choi luna

i quickly enter the apartment alone, hyunjin and the other guys are still at the party. i decided to call it a night, knowing i had work tomorrow. i slip off my shoes at the door and calmly walk to my room. i enter my bathroom, slipping out of my dress and taking a quick shower to rinse off the party. as i step out of the shower, i squeeze my wet hair in the fabric of the towel, checking my phone for any missed notifications.

hi luna! this is bri! i had a lot
of fun tonight, i would be down
to hang out again if you want! xo

hey beautiful, i would love to see
you again. i'll text you when i'm free
xoxo ;)

sounds great! i can't wait!

-

i smile at the messages from bri, she was super cute, and i was genuinely interested in her. but i would be lying if i said i wasn't nervous, i had never hung out with anyone more than once. in all honestly, i was a fuck-girl, a play-girl, whatever you want to call it. i shake any bad thoughts out of my head and save her number to my contacts before reading the other missed text.

hyunjin is bringing home some
girl, i tried to get him to go to my
place since you have work in the
morning, but he didn't listen.

just a heads up, he'll be there in like
ten minutes.

-

i groan, quickly heading into my bedroom to put some clothes on. i throw on a loose pair of shorts and an oversized t-shirt. as i climb into my bed to sleep, i look for my white noise app, i used it often as hyunjin was quite loud when he would bring people home. luckily his room was on the opposite side of the apartment, so the white noise helped drown out the rest of the sounds.

moments later the door bursts open, and i hear rustling as the two shuffle through the apartment. i sit and wait for their sounds to become faint as they entered his room but they never did. i furrow my eyebrows wondering why they were still so loud. i hop off my bed and tiptoe to my bedroom door, quietly pulling it open and peaking into the living room. hyunjin is sat on the couch, the girl straddling his lap, practically eating his face, his hands shoved under her dress. i can't see who the girl is, as her face is attached to his and it was rather dark.

are they really gonna do it right here? i groan at the thought, the couch being right outside of my door, the white noise won't help one bit. hyunjin is usually more considerate, especially when he knows i have work, but right now he seems too drunk to even remember who i am. as the girl pulls his shirt off, hyunjin slides her dress off as well, revealing her body to the both of us. i quickly shut and lock my door, feeling weird for watching for so long.

i climb back into my bed, turning the white noise all the way up and laying a pillow on top of my head. though it proved to be of no use as their sounds of pleasure begun to echo through my room, the girl definitely exaggerating her sounds. i laugh to myself, remembering how hyunjin hates when girls do that. i close my eyes, attempting to focus more on the white noise rather than the rest of the sounds. eventually, i fall asleep.

-

the sound of my alarm fills the room, slightly muffled by the pillow that laid atop of my head. memories of last night quickly flood back into my mind as i crawl out of bed. i make my way to the bathroom, brushing my teeth and then quickly putting on my uniform. i throw my hair into a messy bun and exit my room. my eyes fall to the couch, widening as they land on the naked girl. the girl laid face down, completely passed out and naked. hyunjin left her like this? i grab a blanket from the edge of the couch and throw it over her before walking to the kitchen.

i grab my coffee cup from the cabinet and place it at the coffee maker. quickly pressing all the necessary buttons to start the coffee. as it pours, i grab a granola bar from the shelf, eating it quickly. once the coffee finishes, i take a sip before placing the lid on the cup.

"hyunjin?" the girl from the couch grumbles.

"not hyunjin." i respond dryly, not interested in hyunjin's one night endeavors. "you should probably leave before he wakes up." i add. i see the girls head peak over the couch, but make no effort to look at her as i scroll through my phone.

"l-luna?" the girl says, shock laced in her tone. i snap my head up, widening my eyes.

"bri? what the hell?" i contort my face in disgust as realization hits.

"w-what are you doing here?" she asks, gulping nervously.

"i live here, why the hell are you fucking my roommate?" i snap.

"i- i didn't-" i cut her off.

"get the hell out. and lose my number." i scowl, angrily walking passed her to the front door. she shuffles to pull the blanket over her body.

"luna, wait-" she starts, but i was already gone, angrily making my way out of the apartment complex. i huff angrily as i pull up her contact and hit the block button. i thought she was different. i quickly push away the angry thoughts, scolding myself for thinking a girl i met at a party would be any better than me. i walk down the street, knowing this shift was about to be pure hell.

-

"i'm going on break, just cashed out my last table." i tell my manager after finishing the first portion of my double shift. he nods, smiling at me. with that i head out the back door, breathing out in relief as the fresh air fills my lungs. i lean against the brick of the building, taking a moment before deciding what to fill my rumbling stomach with.

"hey there, roomie." hyunjin's voice causes me to open my eyes and face him. he holds up a bag of food, smiling widely at me. i roll my eyes. "what was that for?" he asks.

"why would you fuck the one girl i was actually interested in?" i angrily confront him, he furrows his brows.

"what are you talking about?" he asks.

"bri!"

"who?" he asks again, causing me to roll my eyes once more.

"don't play dumb you saw her with me at the bar." he looks away and thinks for a moment.

"that was the same girl?" he says, causing me to groan in annoyance. "luna, i seriously had no idea, i had way too much to drink last night, you know i'd never intentionally do that to you." he says, causing me to feel bad for accusing him. i knew he was very drunk, when i left the party he was still doing shots, i can't truly blame him. but bri... why would she sleep with someone else after telling me she wanted to hang out again. "seriously luna, i don't even remember what she looked like." hyunjin pulls me out of my thoughts.

"you're right, i'm sorry i shouldn't have accused you..." i drop my head.

"it's okay," he says, placing his hand on my shoulder. "if it makes you feel any better, she's not good in bed. and god she was so exaggerate with her sounds, i honestly didn't think i was going to finish." he adds, causing me to burst into laughter. "seriously, i had to tune her out." he laughs, playfully rolling his eyes.

"you're so mean!" i say playfully, lightly smacking his chest.

"i wasn't even moving and she was practically screaming, i mean come on." he chuckles, i place my hand over my mouth to avoid laughing too loudly, shaking my head.

"enough of her, lets go eat." i say grabbing the bag from his hands and walking to a near by bench.
