ELENA is a young and ambitious journalist from Spain. After finishing investigative journalism in university, she desperately bargains for a serious and stable job. And as if she couldn’t get a more serious and stable job— she is offered an assignment to cover the drug trade in Colombia, which is at the height of its power in the 1980s.
While she begins to delve deeper into the world of drug trafficking, she meets Javier Peña, a DEA agent who has been working day and night to take down the notorious Medellín Cartel.
As Elena’s investigation progresses, she uncovers shocking truths about the Cartel’s operations, including its ties to politicians and law enforcement officials. But the more she uncovers, the more dangerous her situation becomes, and soon she finds herself in the crosshairs of the Cartel’s ruthless leader, Pablo Escobar.
Elena must now navigate a treacherous landscape of corruption and violence as she races to expose the truth and bring down the cartel. Along the way, she and Javier must confront their own personal issues, and reconcile their conflicting loyalties to each other and their respective professions.
