I should've just shut up as soon as I realised that I wouldn't be getting a cab any time soon. It's 4.34 am on a f**cking sunday morning and i'm sitting outside of the Ontario National Airport. My long curls are sticking to my sweatshirt as I continued to get basked in the rain. They're close to looking black now, with how soaked the brown strands are. In what country does is rain in spring ? "Esto no podría ponerse peor," I mutter to no one in particular.

My two large suitcases carry my whole life's belongings in them... or what's left of it. I see two spots of light glaring onto the dark wet road, and as I look up from my spot outside the Airport I realise that I'm one of the only people left here. How nice. A nineteen year old female who just moved to a foreign city, with not a single soul who knows she exists here, all alone in the dark. The odds are just great. As the cab gets closer I realise that I haven't prepared myself for this. I pull out my phone careful not to drop it as my hands slip around, trying to find the address of the apartment im going to be staying at. The apartment building is close to campus, within walking range actually, so it will probably be filled with students.

I puff a loud breath as I slump into the backseat of the cab after helping the cab driver Jonas put my luggage into the boot. I mean I know im tall, 5'8 the last time I checked, but this man made me feel huge. I swear he was barely 5'5. As we get settled onto the road, Jonas is kind enough not to not converse with me, which only makes my task at not falling asleep harder. Instead I drift off into my thoughts, wondering how the f**ck i'm going to get through this. "No lo sabrás hasta que lo intentes," my mother had always told me.
