Will
The gentle breeze made her soft brunette hair tickle the corner of my lips . I tugged it behind her ears as she leaned on my shoulders . The gust of the countryside air mixed with the fragrance of her old perfume blew into my face .
The orange tinge on the dim sky as the sun set between the sky piercing mountains , our weekends were calm . We religiously watch sunsets every Sunday before returning to our overstretched diligent lives .
I have known and loved Emily for as long as I can remember.
She has always been my support system when life hit me hard. She knows how to make someone smile even when they are lost . She makes every room she enter light up with joy . Her smile warms up my soul that once danced in the darkness .
I have been thinking of proposing Emily to marry me so that I can protect her the way she did all my life , so I can touch her , hold her , love her forever and eternity.
To wake up to her smile every morning and fall asleep in her arms to the rhythm of her heartbeat.
My thoughts were interrupted when she stood up and motioned me to do the same .
Her ethereal voice rang into my ears as she said " I hate that every sunset lasts so short and we have to wait a whole week to feel this feeling again "
I simply shook my head yes and kissed her soft cherry like lips .
We walked towards our car and drove down the empty road as it was getting dark .
Our lives were hectic , Emily was a SPL. Speech language pathologist . She has always loved helping everyone around her and her profession was just an additional means of it . She loved what she did . Meanwhile my life was tiring and boring , I worked as a database administrator. Exactly. As boring as the name .
We worked the whole day and spent most of our evenings together . We have been living together for the past 3 years . The best three years of my life .
We reached our home , I glimpsed towards the passenger seat and found Emily silently asleep as her face was calm and her beautiful blue eyes were hidden from my sight .
I gently shook her and woke her up . We entered our house with a big sigh realising we have to return to work tomorrow.

I went into the shower and let the cold water flow over my heated up body . My curly wet hair sprang all over my head . My brain was clogged with thoughts of proposing her . I walked into the room to see Emily reading her favourite book .
She said " I can't believe the weekend went by so quickly, don't u have a meeting early today ? It's already past 12 , you should probably hit the bed baby " tossing her book into the nightstand .

"Yes mam" I replied and went to bed and pulled her into my strong arms , the silhouette of her tiny body fit perfectly in my arms .

Just as we fell asleep , Emily's phone rang , making us both jolt up from our sleep . She turned on the lights and picked up her phone .
She held the phone close to her ears , her face tensed up as her lips parted and a tear escaped her fetching eyes .
