Summary of Shattered

(Btw, my edit of this is NOT done, but I'm sick of trying to get it perfectly accurate so I'll just add things here and there)🫶🏻

The first chapters in the book was Val in the police station, she wasn't stressed though since she was there all the time. There, her favourite police man told her her guardian Ralph and step father had died in a car crash and that she had 8 brothers that wanted custody of her. They had been searching for her since she went missing just weeks after her birth when her mother took her. (The reason the mother took her was because she was having an affair with (I forgot his name) Val's later stepfather. And wanted to take her daughter with her, but not for love, but to spite her family)

Luc picked her up from the airport. He insisted on taking her bags. He was acting hard to get but softened a bit. She talked on the phone with some of her old friends about her basketball team and Luc smirked when she told her friend to beat someone up.

When Val first arrived to the house Luc again insisted on taking her bags. They met Tony after he came up from the gym, he stopped short and asked "is this her?" And then they both showed her to her room.

She was in her room for a while before she was called to dinner to meet the rest of her brothers. Everyone was very exited and introduced themselves. Dom was late, and when he did arrive Gio scolded him but he didn't give a shit as usual. He honestly just seemed mad at Val and glared at her.

After dinner they  spend time together for the first time in Val's bedroom to watch a movie (I believe everyone was there beside Luc and Gio. They watched movies while being on her bed. And all fell asleep. Val woke up the next day an panicked a bit, because they all laid around her so she could not move. She then kicked them out and they were all confused why she was so panicked looking.

Val in the first book had a nightmare and Dom came in to wake her and calm her:( he said he wouldn't tell the others but if it happened again he would.

When Val went out on a walk of her first days to walk in the neighborhood. And she met Julian and his friends (Quinn, Scarlett, Tye Trey)
They hung out and called Matt (Julian's older brother) to come get them, he was hesitant since Quinn spilled a drink in his car last time he gave them a ride but he picked them up and took them to a cafe where they hung out.

In the car Matt figured out where he recognized Valentina from since he ans Julian where fighting her in some other country because their mafias was enemies then. She shot him in the shoulder and he was still upset about that I guess, so he made the ride to the cafe he drove them to very uncomfortable and bumpy for her since she was sitting in Scarlett's lap.

Matt also stayed in the cafe since he met up with some friends, they had eye contact a few times

She randomly checked her phone and noticed all her brothers had been texting and called her like crazy from unknown numbers since she hadn't saved them yet. She unfortunately took one of the calls in front of everyone on speaker and it was Gio that demanded to know where she was, she could hear yelling in the background.

She then went to the bathroom hall to continue to talk to Gio, she rushed out where she was and ended the call, not wanting to hear his scolding, then a he punched the wall cause she was in a mood now. In the hallway she heard a door open and saw Matt come out from a bathroom and they have a small flirty moment, and he said he had some stuff in his car to fix up her hand.

They went outside and he sat her on the hood of his car and stood between her legs while fixing her hand, they had some light vague spicy talk and he stuffed his face in her neck to tease her, before he went back inside. She heard a car coming, and since she is paranoid as hell she went into an alley to hide.
