CRASH!

The window next to Dorris shatters into a million pieces, shattering all over the ground. The glass hits Dorris while she's sleeping. The glass is shoved into her skin, with flowing red liquid pouring out while she lies there as people rush up the stairs to check on what the loud sound was.

Her grandkids held her hand as she was rushed into hospital by the ambulance. All Dorris could hear is the sounds of her grandkids crying as they held her hand for the whole ambulance ride. The water from the tears hit her, and she felt it. Dorris couldn't do anything, she couldn't move, and she was stuck in this position for the rest of her life. As the ambulance kept going, a bright white light shone brighter and brighter. It was as if she was looking directly into the sun. Suddenly, the crying stopped.

The water stopped hitting Dorris' skin, and all noise stopped. Each sense disappeared one by one until it was only her vision left. The white light shone brighter and brighter until suddenly everything went dark. One second there was something, and now there was nothing. Nothing to see at all. It was all gone.

In this darkness, her life started to flash before her eyes. Moments of time, all together flashing back and forth. First, she saw her parents. She hadn't seen her parents in such a long time that it was a shock to finally see her again. It was Dorris when she was at Disneyland for the first time with her parents, one of her best memories, one that she has never forgotten.

However, this time the memory was different. Instead of her parents telling her about It's a Small World, Dorris' favorite ride, it was her parents telling her to let go. They told her it was her time, and she could finally see her parents once again. "It's been so long, Dorris" her mother exclaimed. "We just want to see you again, it's time to let go."

Dorris was scared. Somehow, in the darkness, all she could see was her parents. Next, she saw the birth of her daughter. All of her friends were around her, hugging her and happy that she was having a daughter. They were cheering, all there for Dorris. Dorris was well known in the community, well known for being the most positive person out of anyone they had ever met. Everyone knew Dorris.

Finally, she saw the birth of her grandkids. She could contain herself and started crying. Her tears rolled down her face but didn't land anywhere, instead just falling into the infinite abyss. She started to feel like something was coming, something extraordinary was coming. Something was coming for her, she just didn't know what it was.

Suddenly, a light appeared once again, similar to the last time when the white light appeared. It became brighter and brighter until it finally revealed an endless road, in the depths of the forest. She walked in the middle of the road, with the only thing in the distance being the rising sun. The beams of sunlight hit her in the face, as she continued to walk down the road. Each tree fell down behind her, with a black void following her, the only direction she had to go was forward.

As she walked further and further, the sun felt closer and closer. The sun was bigger and bigger, brighter and brighter. The sun-filled Dorris' entire vision. It was the only thing she had left. She walked further and was taken in by the sun.

Dorris was pronounced dead on the 22nd of May, 2023 at 9:05 AM.
