Old Wounds

The scene begins with the door of an elevator opening to reveal Fang Sanguise as he walks into the central command room to find Caroline Cordovin pacing left and right. Moments after Ivan left with most of the team as they try to lure Lil' Miss's forces away, the people of Argus have been... irritable since the arrest of Mayor Casseus was made and have been asking the Argus council who will take charge now that the city remains leaderless.

Cordovin: It will be fine. It will be fine.

Fang: Commander, are you feeling alright?

Caroline looks at Fang and lets out a sigh of relief.

Cordovin: Oh Fang, thank Atlas you are here. I need your help with something if you're not too busy.

Fang: (leans down to Cordovin's level) At the moment I'm available. What do you need help with?

The scene cuts to Fang talking to Cammie via Scroll call while she is visiting Akali and Ahri at the hospital.

Cammie: A city council meeting?

Fang: Yep, I clearly walked into this one.

Akali: You said yes, didn't you?

Fang: Yeah. Sorry that I won't make it in today.

Ahri: It's ok Fang. We'll be ok for today.

Fang: Thanks for understanding. See you tomorrow.

Fang hangs up the call and as he starts walking to the elevator, he hears the sound of something metal hitting the ground. He looks to see Sienna's ring necklace and picks it up before looking at it in his hand.

Fang (memory): Let's make a promise to each other. Right here and right now. Let us promise that when this is all over, and the fighting stops, let us start a new life... together.

Sienna (memory): I would like that very much.

Fang (memory): I love you, Sienna.

Sienna (memory): I love you too, Fang.

Fang sniffles as a single tear falls from his face and hits the ground. Fang clutches the necklace tight and puts it in his coat pocket. 

Moments later a military truck is seen driving through a crowd of people that have gathered at City Hall. Fang looks through the tinted windows to see many different types of sighs as they slowly move through the crowd. One man was seen holding a sign saying "White Fang Colabarator!" or "Atlas Thiefs!" 

Fang: (looks at a nervous Caroline) It could be worse.

Cordovin: How could this be worse?

Fang: They'd started throwing rocks through the windows, at least that's how I remembered things back then.

Cordovin: I just don't understand how this could have happened.

Fang: This happened because Ebony Hex got the already Faunus-hating Mayor working for her which meant that he ended up in Malachite's affairs.

Cordovin: Even if we explain that... they will still think of me as some wannabe conqueror.

Fang: We just have to do our part and tell them what we can.

The truck comes to a stop and Fang steps out first and opens up his coat to hide Caroline from the rioters. After Caroline steps out of the truck, the two proceed to City Hall to meet with the Mistral Council along with any high-ranking business owner that lives in Argus.

The scene cuts to all the council members taking their seats as Caroline takes hers with Fang standing guard.

Councilman Helius: Atlas Commander Caroline Cordovin... The reason that you have been summoned to this meeting is to help us understand why the people believe that you are trying to dismantle the Mistral Government because of the recent arrest of Mayor Casseus. What do you have to say in your defense?
