"Go away."
"You need to come out of this room. I told you that breakfast was at 8 a.m."
"She's not even awake."
"And what does that matter?"
"How will you bond if you're not fully replenished?"
Taehyung stares at the wall ahead of him as Seokjin's question stumps him.
His father opens the door and steps inside.
"She won't want to be near me." Taehyung states.
"Can you blame her?"
Taehyung glares at him.
"Why would this be easy for you? Why should this be easy for you? Look at what you've done to her. You didn't cause her death, no. And maybe you couldn't have prevented it, but had you been by her side from the very beginning, she'd have been a much harder target to hit."
"I know."
"So then WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!" Seokjin shouts at him. "Do you understand the gravity of what's happening?! Do you understand just what is going on right now, Taehyung? Because I don't think that you do. It does not seem to me like you do!"
"I understand, Father."
"Then tell me." Seokjin stands in front of him. "You stand here and you tell me exactly what you think is going on. Because clearly, it cannot be the same as what I think if you are this calm about such a thing."
Taehyung looks up at him, eyes puffy and red.
"Your wounds from centuries ago reopen moments before Genesis is murdered in the House and I'm woken up by her death. If that's not enough of a sign of fate for you, then I truly don't know what is. Her name is Genesis, for God's sakes. She's the first and the only being to ever be reincarnated."
Taehyung swallows thickly as the hot tears fall from his eyes.
"Rafaela killed her for whatever power this Coven is capable of holding with your mate as matriarch. Her father had the gift of foresight. And Genesis must be no small force if they've been trying to kill her for years. But all of this means nothing if you two don't bond."
"I can't explain my feelings. It's no justification for what I've done but I'm conflicted. I don't like humans. Despise them, actually. How could I be in love with one? I want her to leave me alone but I don't want her to run into Jungkook's arms. Looking at her makes me angry because she's the furthest thing from ugly I've ever seen.
