Y/n was getting more and more used to being back in the manor. Currently Y/n was sitting out in the garden reading. She sat crisscross with a blanket over her lap. on top of the blanket, she had several more books she was reading, as well as a little snack.

Every now and then a beautiful butterfly that had somehow made its way to Sanguinem caught Y/n's attention. One time, a butterfly got too close, and Y/n stuck her finger out to it and the little beautiful insect actually landed on her finger.

Y/n had never felt such like a princess before in her life.

Y/n turned back to her book, flipping to the next page. She continued reading, enjoying life to the fullest in this moment. It was so nice and peaceful.

Until a rock interrupted her.

Y/n looked down at a rock that had landed not far from her, drawing her attention. She leaned over and picked it up, looking around from where it came from.

"Psst!" A voice whisper yelled, "Over here!"

Y/n's heart dropped when she heard it and dropped even more when she saw it.

There, in the garden bushes was Narumi, Shinoa, Yuichiro, Guren, Shinya, and a soldier she didn't recognize, but also looked high ranking.

Y/n removed the blanket she had had over her lap, setting it on the bench. She quickly, and quietly, made her way over to her friends.

"What are you doing here?!" Y/n whisper yelled.

"Rescuing you!" Narumi whisper yelled back.

"I- what do you mean?!" Y/n asked.

"Do you not remember getting kidnapped by vampires?!" Shinoa retorted.

"I-" Y/n groaned, her hands covering her face for a moment, "I didn't get kidnapped!"

"What the hell do you mean you didn't get kidnapped?!" Guren yelled, "We were right there!"

All the sudden Shinya's radio blasted, and he scrambled to turn it off.

"A team, B Team, did either of you find the sera-"

"I hate that thing-" before Yuichiro could finish his remark a noise made all of them stop and made Y/n's heart drop even more if possible.

"You need to go, now," Y/n demanded, a little louder than she meant, trying to push them away.

"No! We aren't leaving without you-!" Shinoa tried to grab her, but she turned around and ran back over to the bench where the sound was getting louder and closer.

The six watched as Y/n sat back down and picked her book up and pretended to read nervously as the noise keep getting louder and louder, to which they could now tell it was a voice.

The unknown soldier got on the radio as the rest stared at Y/n nervously.

"Lord Kureto," he narrowed his eyes at Y/n as he whispered into his radio, "I have sights on the seraph."

The sudden loud yelling alarmed everyone as it finally made its way outside, making the soldiers freeze as they heard the shout.

"Y/n?!"

Y/n panicked more, "Yeah?" she called back.

Y/n motioned for his friends to hide again and be quiet. Not more than a second later the 7th progenitor came running out, his face written with worry as he came over to the girl.

"Are you alright?" He asked, "Why were you yelling? And what was the noise?"

After Ferid made sure Y/n was alright, his worried expression lessened, and he extended his hands out to Y/n to cup the girl's face.

"Are you okay? What happened?" He asked.

"I'm alright..." Y/n smiled, leaning into Ferid's hand, and stepping even closer to put both of his hands gently on Ferid's chest, looking at the vampire indirectly, "Just stubbed my foot on the bench, that's all..."

"Ah," Ferid replied, "Are you sure? You seem a little anxious..."

At the vampire's words, the humans in the bushes held their breath, they become even more hidden. Y/n wouldn't give them away, would she?

"I was reading when a butterfly flew right into my face..." Y/n melted into the embrace, trying to play it off, "Scared the crap out of me is all..."

Ferid laughed airily, "You do always get so distracted."

Y/n nodded, "We should go inside," Y/n suggested, "It's starting to get a bit cold, and I'm hungry and tired."

"Of course," Ferid smiled, agreeing, making Y/n really think and hope he didn't notice her friends in the bushes.

Y/n nodded. Ferid turned around and took a few steps towards the back entrance of the manor, Y/n right next to him when he heard it. The vampire stopped and halfway turned around.

"Perhaps we should invite your friends to dinner," he said with a large bright smile.

Y/n stopped as a look of horror appeared on her face, "...What?"

The six in the bushes held their breathes again, looking at each other and some holding each other's hands.

"Why, your comrades," Ferid smiled, but it wasn't one of his kind smiles. It was one Y/n hadn't seen in a very long time, "-that are hiding in the bush over there?"
