Yellow and Grey

She was warm and kind
Like coming home to fireflies
Beautiful and Bold
Just like the stars stories told
She was like the feeling of spring
The exquisite sound of children by  stream
She was a sunset in a open meadow
She, was Yellow

I was The dark clouds and thunder storms
The sickly color of lighting rods
I was the bleak mater of sleepless nights
The screams of trees being torn from sight
I was the feeling of crisp winter and the freezing cold
I was a dark hidden story untold
I was bland and not really okay
I, was Grey

She filled my life with bright sunny rays
A sunshine fused summer haze
I began to love her I swear it's true
But one day I saw her fading to blue
One day it was the saltwater stinging my skin
The next day her light just kept going dim
The sickening feeling of burning like gin
Did I do this? It's this my fault?
I couldn't really say,
Because I am now Yellow,
And She, is Grey.
