CHAPTER TWO
( lies and stains )
❝ here you go again. denying how i attractive i am ❞
"AT A SCHOOL EVENT?" Q watched displeasingly as she tried to inconspicuously sneak the flask out of her bag."Relax," she rolled her eyes, taking the stopper of the flask and pouring a few drops into her rose coloured drink. "It takes a lot more than that to get me drunk."
"You have an alcohol problem." he stated.
She slid it back into her bag, quickly scanning the immediate surroundings to check she hadn't been caught. "Blame my parents. And London. I always forget how strict this country is on underage drinking."
It was probably her favourite thing about London. Drinking was a sport she'd gotten more than used to. It was bad for her, but the pretty things in life always were, and she had the most dangerous taste for beauty.
Though in hindsight, she knew it hadn't served her well. Drunken mistakes made up most of her biggest regrets.
"I just want you to be careful." he said in a low voice. "You know if you get caught, your parents—"
"I know. They'd be ruined." she grumbled, but her heart warmed for the boy. She truly appreciated how he cared for her. "You're so good, Q. What on earth would I do without you?"
She'd formed an attachment to the brunet boy ever since they'd met the previous year when he'd started at KISS, and they'd been best friends ever since.
She loved her friends, Yuri, Eunice and Mihee, but she'd long got tired of the friendship that was based entirely on gossip.
Q laughed, "You'd be hopeless without me."
The two of them walked back over to where Min Ho was stood, and she graciously handed over the drink she'd got for him.
He took a sip, before scrunching his nose up in distaste. "Has this ... got vodka in it?"
"Uh—" she quickly switched their glasses and looked at him innocently. "No?"
He scoffed at her, "You're unbelievable."
Min Ho had never been impressed with her drinking habits. The two of them had been at the same school together in London two years ago, and Ah-ri had been notorious for losing both her dignity and her sanity at parties when she succumbed to the delight that was alcohol.
