Eren: This is what happened, he bought the ring but didn't plan on proposing until later on. He didn't hide the ring well, and you found it. Once he comes home, seeing you holding the box, that's when he asks you.
Armin: He knew he wanted to marry after the second date. He's the type that says "Their the one when you know their the one." He's been saving up for a ring for a while, and once he has enough for it he immediately buys it. He knows your taste and he knows that you'll love this ring. When he asks you he would have set up candles and rose petals in your shared room.
Jean: He feels confident but starts to freak out. He asks Connie and Armin what to do. He takes them with him to pick out a ring. He is scared of your answer so he pushes the time off. When he does ask you, he will have 50 voice cracks. But he will repeat the question again, perfectly.
Levi: He hasn't put much thought into marriage because he is perfectly happy dating you as is. He only gets the idea to propose because he saw a lot of married couples walk by him (kind if weird)
Reiner: He's been imagining marrying from the moment he laid eyes on you. He's has things planned out, but he doesn't take action until he feels you are ready. He will take you out to a nice dinner that day and treat you to ice cream. On the walk home that's when he'll ask you.
