Jealous Hearts

Jennie's POV

"How was your date, guys?"

Just as Jennie is about to respond, her heart sinks at the familiar voice. She turns to see Jungkook nervously smiling and lisa  standing there, grinning widely, like she have just uncovered a secret.

She trails off, her cheeks flushing as the realization hits them. They’ve been caught red-handed, and there's no escaping this now.

  "Oh, really? I didn’t know you two were out here having a friendly walk" she leaned in with a teasing smile " eating ice cream, even smearing it on each other's face and chatting like couples do on their dates. But of course, you’re not a couple, right?" She raises an eyebrow, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Uh, right! We were just... exploring the park. You know how it is." He said trying to keep up the act

"Yeah, just two friends,  enjoying some ice cream together." She said laughing nervously

"Jungkook, why didn’t you call me to tell me beforehand?" He said turning towards him

"Hyung, she took my phone! I didn’t even get a chance to text you " he Saud smiling nervously

"I told you, Lisa isn't easy to handle! You were way too confident in your maknae's skills. I’m never going to trust you on this matter again." He said

"Well, it looks like you two are pretty cozy over here. So, are you going to explain how long you’ve been dating and what’s going on here?" Lisa said playfully rolling her eyes

"Lisa, it’s actually getting late. Manager unnie must be waiting for us. How about I fill you in on the way back home?" Jennie said nervously as she bit her lower lips , feeling the pressure

"Fine, but I want all the juicy details. When did you guys meet? How did you fall in love? Who confessed first? And what stage are you currently at?" Lisa said crossing her arms with a grin plastered on her face

"You know, the details aren’t as exciting as you think. It all started with me saving her from a haunted house, after all." Taehyung leaned in with a teasing smile

"Oh, please! You mean you hid behind me the whole time!" She said playfully hitting his arms

"That’s what you call bravery? Hiding behind your date?"lisa said raising her eyebrows

"Hey, that was a tactical move. I was ensuring her safety!" He said in his defence

"Alright, I’m intrigued. But when did you start liking each other?" He said giggling

"It’s... complicated. We’ve been friends for a while, but I guess this was our first real  date." She said slightly blushing

"So, what’s the next step, brave knight?" Junkook whispered nudging his arms

"Well, if we make it out of this alive, I’ll plan an even better date." He whispered back

" So you decided to have your first date by crashing our plans " lisa asked in disbelief

" Ask him " Jennie said pointing at taehyung

" Well it was his plan , ask him " taehyung said pointing at junkook as junkook smiled nervously

" Oh, there’s no escaping this now. You’re going to have to spill everything. Details, details, details!" She said with even more interest

"Okay, I’ll tell. Let’s go now." She sighed as she stood up, brushing crumbs off her shirt and stealing a glance at Taehyung, who looks both nervous and excited. "Bye, guys! See you later!"
