"Ah, it's our favourite badass Gryffindor." Sirius grinned, sitting in a beanbag next to her whilst James sat on the armrest of her chair.
"And we most definitely can read." James told her, rolling his eyes. "We just prefer not to."
"You keep telling yourself that, Potter." she laughed.
"What's a pretty lady like you doing alone on this fine weekend?" Sirius asked, moving forwards.
Immediately, she placed a hand on his face and moved him out of her personal space.
"Well, my friends are doing their own thing so I'm just gonna stay here and read until they're ready to go back." she told him.
"Marlene and Dorcas are finally on a date?" Remus asked, approaching them.
"Finally, right? I'm happy for them both. You should've seen how cute they were together this morning." Amara smiled, looking behind him. "Hi, Peter."
"Hey." he replied from behind a bookshelf.
"You can hang out with us." James said coolly, making eye contact with her that neither of them broke. "We'll show you a good time for the day."
"Really?" she asked, tilting her head to the side as she thought about it. "I mean, I've got nothing to do so why not."
As soon as she got up, she felt Sirius wrap his arm around her shoulder, already talking giddily about all the things they would be doing for the day.
Peter saw James staring at her ass and stood in front of him, breaking his stare.
"Move, Wormtail." James glared.
Instead, Peter grabbed him by the front of his sweater and pulled him out of the shop behind the other three.
"Let go of me!" James yelped.
"Shut up and move. If I hadn't done that, you'd have been paralysed thinking about the poor girl's ass all day." Peter snickered, letting go of him.
The five of them made their way to Honeydukes and Amara made her way to the chocolate aisle. Instead of focusing on the magical ones, she grabbed a few bars of plain white and milk chocolate and then grabbed a few bags of mix and match sweets before making her way to the cashier.
She would have bought a lot more but she knew she couldn't work until the summer, meaning that she had to save the money she'd worked for to last her until the end of the school year.
Before she could pay, she saw someone place a mound of sweets 3x bigger than hers on the counter.
"Holy shit, Potter." she said, incredulously. "Are you trying to overdose on sugar?"
"Nope. Every Hogsmeade trip, we have a designated buyer and this time it's me." he grinned, handing the cashier some money.
Amara just raised her eyebrows, reaching into her back pocket to pull out her wallet only to see her stuff had already been packed along with James' stuff.
"You paid for mine?" she asked her eyebrows furrowing.
"I'm designated buyer and you're hanging out with us, so yeah."
"Absolutely not." she mumbled, pulling out some Galleons and Sickles and trying to give them to him. "Take the fucking money, Potter."
"Language, Reid." he laughed grabbing both bags and walking away, leaving her standing there confused.
She put her money away and fell into step with him as they tried to get out of the busy shop.
"You shouldn't have. I can pay for myself." she pointed out.
