Hi! (:

***

I can't believe Batman gave me a room in the manor. Freaking BATMAN, known for not trusting anyone, gave me a room in the manor. Well, I guess I did see Dicks face, but still!

I'm currently sitting on the centre of my bed in cat form getting 'settled in' as Bruce said, as I wait until dinner time, but only getting bored. Very, very bored. So, extremely bored. Like bored enough to do homework, if I had any. Bored enough to try to do a somersault if only I could be human again. Bored enough to-

There's a knock at the door.

Thank fuck.

I meow and the door opens to Dick wearing a friendly smile.

"Dinners ready," he says and I perk up, jumping off the bed to follow him.

He kneels down as soon as I'm close enough and reaches for me, only to stop when he realises what he was doing.

"Ah, sorry," he says, pulling a hand away to rub the back of his neck.

I put my paws up on his knee and meow, he chuckles as he lifts me into his arms making sure to not let my back paws just dangle. Bruce and Jason are already at the table when we arrive, I perk up when I see a perch for me by the table. I immediately change into a parrot and fly over to it, it being just the right height for me to be able to eat off the table. I bob in place a little, unable to contain the happiness from them doing something like this for me. They're all so nice!

"I guess you like your perch then?" Jason asks with a small smirk as Dick sits.

"Thank!" I quickly reply, remembering my manners.

"It was actually Alfred," he replies.

"Alf?" I ask, not managing to get the rest out. It's a lot harder talking as a parrot.

"That would be me, master Leo," I squawk in surprise at the voice, which is somehow right behind me, and fly straight into Bruce's arms who quickly catches me. "Apologies, I did not mean to startle you."

I lift my head from where I stuffed it between Bruce's arm and chest and shit, he's cradling me, isn't he? I quickly ignore that, instead turning to look at Alfred.

"Ninja!" I accuse.

"I shall take that as a compliment, now, is there anything you cannot eat?" he replies completely straight faced.

I blink at him.

"Nooooo?" I try.

"Are you unsure?"

"Maybe."

"Well, we shall start with a bowl of fruit until we know."
