"She Kind Looks Like You" "WELL NO SHIT!"

Tira's POV

"What?" I whispered. I stared at Elliot confuzzled. What was he talking about? Duh they remember me, or at least my presence.

"At least the lady did."

"Who?"

"I dunno their names," Elliot said, walking closer and sitting next to me.

"But she — actually she kind of looks like you."

My eyes widened. He couldn't be talking about Isabella, could he?

Of course it's Isabella. Who the hell else would it be?

"I think you're talking about Isabella," I finally said. I pulled my hand out of the water and fiddled with my sleeve.

"Oh, so that's her name. Did you two know each other? Like, were you a part of that orphanage too?"

"I was, but she wasn't my adoptive mom or whatever."

"Then...?"

"She's my twin sister." There was a super long silence and I started to wonder if I broke Elliot.

"SHE'S YOUR WHAT?!?!?!!!?!" I pulled my hands from my ears.

"She looks exactly like me!" I shouted, pointing at the super duper obvious similarities.

"Brown hair???"

"Super common."

"We have the same face shape?"

"Doesn't mean you're related." I huffed.

"PURPLE eyes?!"

"That's probably cosplay." I stared at him.

"What's cosplay?"

"You... you really don't know? It's pretty common knowledge at this point."

"..." I gave Elliot a death glare. I bet he's the type that's smart, but acts stupid as hell to get on people's nerves.

"Anyways," he continued, totally ignoring my glare, "It's basically dress up."

"Dress up?"

"Are you SERIOUS-" Elliot paused and took a deep breath. Such a drama queen.

"Changing clothes, eyes colors, and sometimes wearing fake hair to look like someone real or fake," he ended with a sigh. Damn, sorry I'm not educated on human world stuff?

"No, it's natural," I said. Elliot stared at me in disbelief.

"You're joking, right? It's impossible to have purple eyes."

"It is! I'm li- well read now, but we have living proof!"

"No no no, that has to be a lie."

"Gilda literally has green hair!"

"She dyed it?! Duh?!"

"We don't have dye or whatever the hell that is in my world!"

"What do you mean?! It's illegal or something?!"

"No! I don't even know what that is! It doesn't exist!"

"It does?!"

"Not in my world though!"

How can he believe that I know what that is?! I don't! What the hell is dye anyways?! No book had whatever that was in it when I was alive!!

"'Ugh," Elliot groaned, slumping against the fountain. I groaned too and also leaned back, but fell into the water.

"Okay, fine. Let's say you're right and these unnatural colors here in my world are totally normal in yours."

"It is. Norman has white hair with blue eyes, Gilda has green hair, Isabella has purple eyes, we literally had demons in my world, and-"

"Okay okay! I believe you!" Elliot rudely interrupted. He sighed again. "Why are there even two worlds? How did you all get here? I have so many questions."

"Ask away! Not like I have anything to do." I filled Elliot in on the demon world and everything. From my earliest memories, me blacking out, the escape, my promise, Goldy Pond, the demon queen, the promise made by the dumb ass human and demon, and of course us arriving here.

"... wow, just... wow."

"Mm Hm."

"So first of all this whole promise business. How did He measure the worth? Why was everyone's memories about you worth enough to revoke the promise?"

"Woah Woah Woah," I said. "I don't know why it was enough. I didn't ask for the details."

"Didn't you have approximately 2 years to ask?"

"But I didn't. That's the thing." Elliot gave me a deadpanned look.

"And the reason why it probably worked was..."

"Was...?"

"I'm selfish."
