OLD FOES AND NEW FRIENDS.

"Caspian! Get away from her!" In the dimly lit cave, which had been lit with an eery blue glow, Clara's blood ran cold within her body as she watched a Prince reach his bleeding hand out toward one of her oldest foes: the White Witch, Jadis.

Surrounding Caspian was a werewolf and a bird-like creature she had not seen before, though she knew that its allegiances were most definitely not with Aslan.

Even in the face of the White Witch's undeniable presence, Clara couldn't help but be perplexed by the manner in which she appeared. She seemed to be enveloped in a delicate layer of ice, with a fleeting gust of frigid air blowing through the room.

Clara was certain she had been fully killed, so what kind of dark magic was that? It was powerful indeed.

With battle cries boosting their strength, Peter and Edmund charged into battle against the werewolf and bird, their swords poised to strike the shady beasts.

With a swift motion, Clara reached out her hand towards the frozen surface, her necklace humming against her chest and sending vibrations through her entire being.

Knowing that ice was merely solidified water, she felt a surge of confidence that her powers would be successful.

Regrettably, she found herself defenseless against the dark magic-infused water. Nevertheless, she reached for her sword, her eyes ablaze with fierce determination.

How dare Jadis come back? How dare she try to hurt her friend?

Clara bolted forward, her eyes locked onto Jadis as the spectral figure reached out towards Caspian with an outstretched hand.

Caspian stared at her with a foggy look, most likely bewitched. "Caspian stop!" Clara called out, unsheathing her sword when Nikabrik stepped in her path.

As they locked gazes in a stare-off, Clara could feel nothing but disgust for the lowly creature. Had he truly exhausted all hope of a greater Narnia?

Or did he simply think that there could be a greater Narnia with Jadis as their ruler again? The dwarves had sided with her in the original battle.

Clara's gaze flitted to Lucy and Trumpkin as they tumbled into the room, faces wide with shock at the scene that lay before them.

Did Trumpkin feel the same way as Nikabrik? They were kin, after all.

Using Clara's distraction to his advantage, Nikabrik pulled a sharp dagger from his coat pocket and slashed at the young girl's stomach, who backed away just in time for it to only shred her tunic and not the soft skin behind it.
