"Let's break up Lucas" I uttered at the same time as my tears fell. Ang sakit, ang sakit sakit sabihin ng mga salitang ito. But I have to, I have a dream to chase.
"What? Did I do something? Just tell me, I'll fix it, I'll change it. Just tell me what did I do wrong?" he said as his face showed surprise, sadness and begging.
"I'm going to states. I will be transferred to US, I've been promoted last week" I said with a calm voice but my tears kept falling to my cheeks. Hindi ko sinabi sa kaniya kaagad na na-promote ako at kailangan ko pumunta ng US at doon magpatuloy ng pag ta-trabaho.
Ilang segundo sya nakatitig sa akin bago siya lumingon at may kinuha sa kanyang pocket. I saw a box, a ring box.
"I want to marry you Yaz, I love you very much Yaz. We can work things out, we can have a long distance relationship." he said as if he was convincing me. But I just shook my head at him.
"Look Lucas you are successful, you're rich and you're wealthy. But me I haven't reached anything in life I'm only halfway to my dream." my voice cracked while saying those words. Its so hard to let go when you are used to a happy, comfortable and healthy relationship.
he looked at me blankly while I told him that, while he continued to stare at me, I was walking away, away from him.
I will choose my career and dreams Lucas. But if you can wait then let's have the happy ending that we want.
