I heard shouting, coming from the living room.

It seems like mom's and father's voice.

Are they arguing..? Again..?

But why...

Lagi nalang silang nagaaway.

I just woke up, why are they shouting in the middle of the night?

I stood up from the bed. And I quickly went to the living room and peeked while hidden on the side of the wall.

"But even so, you should talk to her first if she is willing to your plan" My mom said with anger on her face. "She was too young for this! At sa tingin mo matatanggap niya to?!" She added.

"It won't take long, once the negotiation between our company and their company is successful, we will finish Aviana's engagement with Aiden. Hindi naman to magtatagal.", My father explained.

I was shocked.

Engagement..? Me..? With Aiden..? The heir of Remington Company..? Aiden Rence Remington..?! MY RIVAL?!?!

NOOO NOO NOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE MY DAD DID THIS!
WHY WOULD HE MAKE A DECISION ABOUT AN ENGAGEMENT OF ME AND AIDEN?!?!?!? NABABALIW NA BA SIYA?!

(A/N: She's literally screaming in her head.)

What am I supposed to do now? My father controls everything, EVEN MY LIFE.

I went to my room and slammed the door shut. I lay down on my bed and hugged my pillow tight. i want to cry, but I don't wan't to at the same time!

But why of all people, why him?!

Sino ba Naman Ang gustong magpa-engage sa lalaking yun. Argh!!!

I'll just go back to sleep and pretend I didn't heard anything!

( The next morning )

At the dinner table

My mom was busy preparing our breakfast at the table with our nanny, Mimi.

And then my father went straight to our dinner table after dressing up from his room. I'm sure sasabihin na niya sa akin ang bagay na iyon.

I stared him with complete annoyance and disappointment, also with anger while he wasn't looking. I still can't believe he would do that just for the company!

We all sat down (my mother, father, and two brothers.) to eat. When suddenly, my father was about to speak.

"Aviana" He spoke with a serious tone.

Oh gosh, I think I know what he was about to say.

I'm sweating so much, I don't know what to think. Just calm down Aviana, calm down...

"You will be engage to Aiden Rence Remington."

My brothers suddenly stood from their chairs shocked with what my father had just said.

"Father, what do you mean she's engage..?" My brother Zhase said with a tone that almost has a sound of anger. "Hindi ba parang Bata pa Siya para ma-engage?!" He added.

"Father, she's too young for an engagement! And also, she didn't even know much about that Aiden!" Zhac said "Besides, he was her rival when it comes to academi-"

"Enough!" My father shouted.

I held Zhase's hand signaling him to stop and sit down.

I closed my eyes, knowing that I can never change my father's decision. He's always like this towards his family. A manipulative man with an addiction to his company.

"I-I understand, father." I said with a trembling voice.

"Your engagement with Aiden will lasts until the negotiation between our families become successful. So bear it, and don't you dare embarrass me in front of their family."he said to me while glaring at me with a vicious look.

Guess I don't have a choice.
