Andre Miller 73 The Briefings

The next morning Andre was picked up at eight am by SSA Dalton and moved to the secret location where they were holding Fontaine.

When they arrived Deputy Director Becker was there to greet them. "Good morning, Mr. Miller. Are you ready for another day of questions and answers?"

"I am, but I had a few questions for you before we get started. The people who were captured at the car raid, I assume you've taken custody of them?" asked Andre.

"That is correct. Four individuals, two men, and two women. They are being detained and questioned nearby. Why are you interested in them if I may ask." Replied Becker.

"They are the direct link to the person who is key to the coming event. I would very much like to either question them myself or have a copy of their questioning. I need to know what they know about this Jay person. All information they can give is of vital importance."

"I'll go over their records and see what is relevant to you and your interests. I'll have their interrogators steer some of the questions in your direction of inquiry. What exactly are you after?"

"Anything that has to do with Jay, the history of the past however long they have been working with Jay, in detail, what they've done and had planned. Where they've been, contacts physical and spiritual that they may have made. I've come under attack from a disinformation campaign in the spiritual realms saying that I've entered into a pact with Fontaine and am either working with or for her. I had to face a very powerful spirit of truth yesterday to prove my innocence."

"I see, this was unexpected. Your enemy seems to be very proactive and intuitive to connect you and Fontaine this quickly." Said Becker and he paced in a small line, "I'll have the interrogators up the frequency of the sessions to squeeze as much as we can from them. Any information you may glean from your sources about this Jay person will be shared with us as well, yes?"

"Yes, we were able to ascertain that they are a summoner of some power and have a messenger from the 3

House of Stone held captive, this is the spirit that was used to start the rumors. If we can get to that spirit, we can use its information to learn much about the person who summoned it."

"Hmm, ok. We'll push for the narrative of getting other locations that could hold a trapped spirit for the long term. Anything else?"

"Not at the moment, as I know more, I'll share it." Said Andre.

"Very good, let's get started then. We'll do your questions up front again and then switch like we did before." Becker said as he ushered Andre to the door.

Andre entered the room and Fontaine was seated as she had been before, "Good Morning Andre, all rested I assume?"

"I'm fine Ms. Fontaine. Now let's get started, shall we?" Andre asked as he took his seat across from her.

"Oh, I'm all aquiver with anticipation." She said flatly.

"How many different locations were you held at over the three years you were held?"

"I lost count, we moved often we were rarely in the same place for more than a few weeks I would guess. I was always transported in a windowless van in a wooden soundproofed crate. It looked very much like an art shipment crate. I was given an oxygen tank at each move as the crate didn't breathe at all."

"How long were the trips?"

"Anywhere from a few minutes to up to a full day I estimated. We did travel cross country I know that. The air pressure changed several times and the air smelled different after the longer moves. We were in large cities and rural areas, and it changed often. Where ever I was kept I was always kept out of the light and only moved by the crate, once we arrived at a location I was chained to a wall or beam and given a bucket for which to do my business unless there was a toilet, which was rarely."
