Her hope-filled eyes turned confused. "Sorry, what?" she asked, fear creeping into her voice, dreading the reality she might have to face.
"Look, stop waiting for me. I'm not someone who dreams of a happy family, a wife, or children. My life is consumed by avenging my mother's death, by hunting down those who murdered her. Her innocent eyes filled with tears as her hopes shattered. She smiled sadly. "I'm sorry for what happened in your life, but I... I can't stop loving you, Adraksh. I know you don't have feelings for me, but this foolish heart still beats for you," she confessed through her tears.
Adraksh stood silent, his heart hardening against the sound of her cries. He couldn't afford to lose his resolve.
She wiped her eyes and glanced at him lovingly. "I will wait for you, Adraksh," she said softly. He stiffened at her words. "Because I know one day, you'll understand this dumb girl and come back to me. Revenge is yours, but love is mine."
