Valentina shut her laptop and heard the clip clop of her best friend's heels. She turned around just in time to see Jess' disappointed face.
"Damn it, i was about to scare you" she pouted and sat down next to her.
"Really? With those heels, you can be heard from miles away" Val chuckled.
"True"
"Wanna go movies tonight?" Jess asked.
Val hesitated, "I actually.. have to go Milos' today. He invited me to hang out with him.."
"OMG really? That's so good!" Jess exclaimed.
However, internally she was sad that her bestfriend couldn't find time for her anymore. But she should be happy right? I mean as long as Val is happy, so is Jess.
"No Jess, i am sorry, i should be hanging out with you."
"Dude, are you crazy?!"
"I promise i am gonna find you a man now" Val said with a determined look on her face.
"Don't you even try" Jess laughed.
Val leaned over to hug her.
"I appreciate you so much. Thanks for everything. I owe you."
"Stop it with your drama" Jess replied.
"Now go!"
Val squeezed Jess' hand and took her bag to leave.

Downstairs, Harold was waiting for her in the usual spot. She got in the car and greeted him.
"Hey Harold"
"Hello, how was your day?"
"It was good. I have to be somewhere now."
Val passed her phone to Harold for the location.
"Where are you headed?"
"Oh you know the Italian ambassador Mr Guzel?"
"Yes,"
"His son's place" she said with a smile.
"That trouble maker?" Harold smirked.
"What do you mean? Do you know him?"
"Oh, i know him alright"
"How though?" Val was shocked.
"Him and my son Jim grew up together"
"Oh wow! That's so cool"
"Mmm.."
Deep in thought Val looked out the window with a smile. Small world, she thought.
They reached and Val spotted the brunette waiting outside for her in a cute jumper and sweatpants.
"Harold come say hi!" Val suggested.
They both came out and Val rushed to Milos and grabbed his arm,
"Milos! Look it's Harold!" she said.
"Milos. Boy. How are you?" Harold came and patted his shoulder.
Milos hugged Harold and said
"Oh my gosh. Mr Solace, it's been so long."
"Harold is fine, thanks" he smiled at the green eyed boy.
"You haven't changed a bit" he stated.
Milos laughed shyly.
All the while Valentina beamed at the interaction between the two.
