Dylan wasn't sure how she made it back to her house.

All Dylan remembered was Aiden holding her as she tried to crawl towards Will, sobbing like her whole world was ending.

Somehow she ended up back home, Aiden still by her side with his arms around her.

Dylan couldn't think, her mind blank, her body numb.  Will, her favorite boy Will, was dead. All the shit Eleven had said about Will hiding and being alive just for them to pull his small frame out of the water like he weighed nothing

Dylan felt like she was going to cry all over again.

Aiden was too shaken up to say anything the walk over. Hopper had to stay at the scene to handle the police work, but Aiden was still okay enough to walk the both of them home.

The boy had known WIll almost as long as Dylan had. Whenever Jonathon and Joyce couldn't look after him, Dylan and Aiden would bring him over to Aidens place and they would spend the day drawing and doing art with him.

He grew to care for Will like his own brother. He had only regretted not visiting him more often once he got on the basketball team.

The two teenagers faced the Henderson house with tired faces. Aidens arm slipped off from around her shoulders and intertwined their fingers.

"You're going to be okay Dyl, I promise," Aiden whispered as he held them closer, Dylan looked up at Aiden and shook her head.

"Jonathon and Joyce won't be able to take it." She whispered, Aiden kissed her forehead softly.

"We'll be there for them," Aiden whispered. Dylan nodded as she gave Aidens hand a squeeze.

"Thank you. For everything."

"Always."

Aiden watched as the girl slowly made her way into the house and when he watched the front door finally close, he let out a large sigh as he ran his hands through his hair tiredly.

Months later and yet, he was still in love with Dylan Henderson.

Dylan barely had the energy to shrug off her jacket as she stepped in. She was ready to turn around and head to bed but she froze.

In the living room, on the couch, Dustin was wrapped around Cluadia's arms as he buried his face in her shoulder.

Dylan's heart splintered even more, she had forgotten the party was out tonight to look for WIll with Eleven. They probably saw the body- Will.

The both of them rose their heads at the sound of Dylan's footsteps. Dustin's eyes were red and puffy from crying, and Claudia looked like she was barely keeping them together. Dylan's lower lip trembled as she sank to her knees in front of them and wrapped her arms around them, all of them shaking in each other's arms.

"Jonathon I can skip-"

"No"

"Jonathon I swear to god its fine. You guys need someone-"

"Dylan its gonna be okay."

"Jonathon-"

"Oh, I love you, Dylan." Jonathan chuckled sadly.

Dylan sighed and shut her eyes from where she leaned against the wall of the mounted phone. It was the following day after Will's discovery. Jonathan and Joyce were supposed to visit the casket and plan out the... funeral.
