*Buzzz Buzzz*

'Hello?' Audrey spoke through the speaker,

'Hey, it's Lucy'. She sounded exhausted, it's only 6.30 but the girl's probably had the longest day of her life.

'Hey! Lucy's here!! Marie! Can you make tea?' Audrey echoed through the apartment, before letting Lucy in. 'Hey gir.....' she started excited to see her friend but trailed off when she saw her. Her face seemed shallow, and her eyebags looked too heavy to take as carry on. 'Hey Marie? We're gonna need something stronger than tea!!'

                                                                                        ***

'I just gave Ted my honest opinion on his condition, I know Roy's definitely going to make his own decision, but I can't help but feel I've quite literally ended a legacy!' Lucy ranted, 'I had to pop his knee in with no pain meds!' she threw her hands in the air, before reaching for her wine glass.

'Looks like you've made an enemy out of Roy Kent.' Damain uttered,

'Not now babe' Marie asserted. She was rubbing Lucy's back in circler motions, while Audrey topped up her wine glass.

'You did the right thing Luc' Audrey reassured, 'You did your job! And if he sues, I'll represent ya' Lucy smiled, the sentiments being interpreted by the buzzing intercom.

'I'll get it.' Lucy got from her spot on the couch and went to answer the buzzing intercom. 'Hello? This is Lucy?'

'Miss Lucy! It's Ted! Can I talk with you?' Lucy winced,

'Um yeah sure. I'll be down in a sec' She turned to her friends, 'It's Ted'. Her friends shot her a sympathetic look, and with that, she went down to the front door.

She unlocked the black wooden door, turning its golden handle to see the welcoming face of Ted Lasso. 'Hi Ted, what's going on?'

'Well, I was talking with Coach Beard, my boss Rebecca, her assistant Higgins,'

'You talked to a lot of people. What does that have to do with me?' she interjected,

'We were talking about you! The physio you were replacing, well she just found out she was pregnant, and quit her job to become a full-time mum, quite nice when you think about it,'

'Ted? Your loosing me.'

'We want you to be our full-time nurse! I know it's the middle of the season, but it's a well-paying job. And despite you first impressions, the team really liked you.' his smile was blinding, almost squeezing the 'yes' out of her,

'Would it be ok if I thought about it and got back to you?' she replied maturely,

'No no of course!' Ted grabbed her hand and a pen of his pocket and started writing numbers on her hand, 'This is my phone number, when you decide, shoot me a message' Lucy smiled and nodded,

'Thanks again Ted, I'll let you know' and with that, she closed the door and turned around to spot her friends peaking around the corner of the stair well, smiling like idiots.

                                                                                      ***

'Then he offered me a job!' Lucy put her feet up on the coffee table, wine glass in hand. 'I mean I can't take it! This is meant to be a be a holiday! And if I commit to it, I'm gonna end up here for a bit longer than a year.' It was clear the wine had hit an empty stomach; she was throwing her arms around and she was spitting out any thought that came to her mind.

'But Luc, did you have a good time today?' Marie said with a smile, knowing her friend better then she knew herself.

'Oh my god did I have a good time! The boys were really funny! And were actually quite nice. I mean that comment about Roy's dick was a bit out of pocket but' Lucy continued on about her day when she stopped, and realisation dawned on her. She looked at her best friends, taking Marie and Audrey's hands, 'But this is meant to be our holiday! I can't take that away!'

'Lucy, you could never! We can come to your games, and in the off season, we can do all the touristey stuff. And who knows, this might be our home instead?' Audrey speculated,

'Yeah! London doesn't know what it's agreed to!' Marie exclaimed.

'So I'll text Ted?' Lucy murmured,

'Yes!' The two girls squealed.

The rest of the night was spent drinking wine, teasing Damian and searching for possible jobs for the rest of the crew.

'The only experience he has is check-out boy! He can get a job anywhere!' Lucy teased through fits of laughter,

'Oh oh! He can get a job at the pub!! He can be a bar boy!' Audrey squeaked, Marie came to his defence, walking up to him in her drunken haze and putting a hand on his chest,

'My boyfriend is too attractive to be a bartender!' Damain shot her an 'odd but flattered' look.

'Here here look! Audrey! You can work for these guys!' Lucy said pointing at the newspaper in front of her, 'There looking for associates, you can be like the guy in Suits!'

'Hodge, Jones and Allen! Are you for real? They are hella prestigious! Plus, I don't wanna be a part of the work force yet, I wanna be a person first, worker next' She had a point, they came here to make up for the time they lost spent being students first, then people. 'Oh my gosh! Maire! We can be strippers!'

'No way in hell!' Damian shut down that idea real quick.

The girls went to sleep after getting toughly wine drunk. Lucy awoke first, as usual. It was only their second day in London, but it felt like she had been there for a year already. Maybe Audrey was right, maybe Richmond could be home?

Lucy went to get out of bed and make some coffee, but she couldn't move. She looked down to see her, Audrey and Marie in a drunken sleep pile. She smiled at her friends, the morning UK sun luminating their faces.

Lucy reached for her phone, attempting to not wake up the girls. She was only looking for the time, but instead got a rude shock:

Ted Lasso-

I'm so glad! Training today starts at 9.30, but if you could get their early, I'll give you a proper introduction to the team, and Rebecca.

'Oh my god!' This woke the girls.

'Whaaaaatttttt' they whined, Audrey throwing a pillow over her face, trying to block out the light.

'Ted wants me at training today!' Lucy leapt out of bed, and began searching for an outfit, any outfit that would make a good first impression.

'And let me guess, it starts soon.' Marie groaned,

'At 9.30' Lucy replied, still rummaging around for clothes,

'But Lucy girl it's 8.00' Audrey said innocently,

'I KNOW'
