W.E.I.R.D

I was sitting in my room in the adoption centre when I suddenly heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I say, hoping for the best it wasn't Milena, my bully.

The door opened and thank GOD it wasn't Milena, instead, it was my bestest friend here at the adoption centre. Orchid.
"Hey Nikki?" she said.

"Hi Orch, what's up?" Orch was the childhood nickname i gave her, just like mine is 'Nikki' except i'm the only one who calls her that, because i'm her best friend, and nearly everybody calls me Nikki.

"Ms Berry said it was outdoor time, we're going for a walk today. Wanna come?" replied Orchid.

"Sure I guess, I mean, it's better than staying in this boring room all day."

"Alright, come on!" 

"OK OK!" I said, holding my hands up in defense.
I got up, walked over to the door and followed her to wherever the rest of the children were.
We then started walking outside the front doors of the adoption center, following the same path we normally go on, it was a small, narrow sidewalk on the highway. We normally just go to the other end and back, so that's what we did.

As we were walking back towards the adoption centre, something caught my eye. I shifted my head to my left and saw a boy, roughly in his 20's, blue eyed, with a few light blue streaks in his dark, chocolatey hair whilst wearing a Yoshi costume from mario kart, and driving a Mario Kart.

I recognized him from somewhere, I just couldn't place my finger on it.

"Orchid, don't you remember that guy from somewhere?" I questioned Orchid.

"Who?" she asked.

"That guy." I replied, pointing towards my back - left.

"Wait, oh yeah! Isn't he that guy from YouTube?" she quickly realised, as if she had just been watching him this morning, which is quite likely of her to do so.

"I think so, wait a minute, IT IS!" i nearly shouted, out of excitement, "Can we pleeeaaaaaassseeee say hi when he passes by? He's driving slow anyways!" I begged her.

"Of course! Why would I say no? I watch him too ya know!" she said confidently, as if to remind me.

"YAYYYYYYYYYYYY" I whisper-shouted, so that Milena didn't hear me, otherwise she would ask why I was so happy and then expose me or something, and I REALLY wasn't in the mood for her to ruin my chances today.

Just then he passed by.

"Hi!" we both said in sync, almost as if we had rehearsed it.

"Colby, right?" Orchid asked.

"Yeah, hi!" said Colby.

"We are super big fans of you!" we said in sync, once again, sounding like 2 girls rehearsing a play script at school.

"Is this a video?" I asked.

"Yeah, say hi to the camera!" he said.

"Hiiii!" I said, at the same time as Orchid said "Hey!" in a funny voice.

"We love your costume! Can we get a quick picture?" I asked.

"Sure!" he replied, doing his go-to photo pose with his hands.

I quickly snapped a photo and said "Thanks Colby!"

"No problem, uhh.. What are your names?" he questioned.

"I'm Nikki." I said.

"And I'm Orchid!" Said Orchid, basically finishing my sentence for me.

"Well, your welcome Orchid and Nikki! Hope to see you guys around!" he said.

"Us too! Thanks for the pic again!" I said, before he started speeding up a little and going completely past us.

"WOW! I can't even believe that just happened, my mind is spinning so fast right now!" I said to Orchid.

"ME TOO!" She almost yelled in response, out of happiness.

I thought to myself for a moment, mentally laughing at the fact he was actually dressed up as Yoshi FROM Mario Kart, AND driving A Mario Kart! Haha. If I didn't watch his videos and I didn't know he filmed on YouTube for a living, I would've thought he was crazy! I MEAN WHO WOULDN'T? IF YOU SAW A RANDOM ASS PERSON, JUST DRIVING A MARIO-KART THEMED GO KART, WHILST WEARING A YOSHI COSTUME FROM MARIO KART, YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE INSANE TO NOT THINK HE WAS!

Overall, that was really weird...
