It was around 6:30 am and the storm was still going on. I didn't realize that every time thunder hit I would cuddle closer to Michael. Until a really loud crash woke me up and I realized how close we were.

I didn't want to let go.

He's been like the boyfriend I never had, and he's not even my boyfriend. That's the thing. I've had 2 boyfriends but they were.. let's just say... not "real."

But this feels real.

I don't ever want to let go of him and I don't ever want him to let go of me.

Except eventually we'll have too because he's going to wake up, and it'll all be over. I wish I could freeze this moment in time and just stay like this forever.

I felt disappointed when I saw Michael's eyelids flutter open as if I had waken him by my thoughts. He looked at me and smiled, happy to see me awake.

"Good morning, Becca."

"Morning, Mikey," he was so perfect.

The way his perfect lips curled when he grinned. The way his hair was so perfectly messy. The way his clothes were wrinkled, perfectly. The scratchiness of his voice in the morning. It was all perfect.

He was just so imperfectly, perfect. That's what I liked about him.

I would always catch myself staring at him. Just to take in his beautiful features. Sometimes I'd have to mentally slap myself to stop before he saw.

Luke and Ali were still asleep and so Michael and I had some "alone" time.

"Hey I've been meaning to ask you.." Michael started, "are you going to school at Green Way? Senior?"

"Yeah, my mom enrolled me and as soon as summer is over in a couple weeks, I'll be starting school," I smiled.

"Sweet I'm a senior too," he nodded.

"Aren't you like 19 though?"

"Yeah but mine and Calum's parents both decided to keep us back because of one F we both had in English. Stupid I know, 19 year olds in high school. Oh well I hated that English teacher. Such a bitch."

"Oh," was all I said.

"So are Luke and Ashton seniors too?" I assumed.

"Yep, so is Ali obviously," we both started to stand up and go to the kitchen to talk.

"When's your birthday?" Michael asked.

"December 30th, what about you?"

"November 20th," Michael answered.

We continued talking about random stuff and started laughing for no specific reason. Michael stopped laughing leaving me smiling alone. He was intently looking at me, making me feel self conscious so I stopped smiling and looked away.

"You have a beautiful smile."

I blushed. "Thanks, so do you," I laughed pushing his shoulder a little.

I heard a loud grown/yawn coming from across the room. Sounds like Luke's Awake. Damnit.

"Hey man, sleep well through the storm?" Michael asked.

"Oh yeah. I'm a heavy sleeper," Luke replied. They bantered on for a little bit about the storm.

I guess I was too caught up in Michael to realize it had stopped storming.

"What's wrong?" Michael ask worriedly, realizing my confused facial expression.

"Nothing. I just realized it had stopped storming," I said with a chuckle.

"Wow. What a genius ya got there Michael," Luke joked.

"Oh hush," I scoffed back.

"Is Ali still asleep?" I asked unknowingly.

"Yeah she's laying there looking all cute," Luke replied while looking at her. I rolled my eyes at his mushiness and went over to her to wake her since it was almost 11 am.

"Hey Ali," I nudged her.

"What?!" she hissed.

"It's almost 11 you should probably get up."

"Wake me up when it's 1," she must have been really tired considering she normally wakes up at a decent hour.

"Well?" Luke asked.

"Well what dimwit," I replied dully.

"Is she awake?"

"Nope. She said to wake her up at 1."

"Really? She's normally up way before now. She is a light sleeper though so I bet the storm kept her up all night. Anyway... we don't have anything planned for today, so I guess we can just hangout," Luke said.

"Actually... Becca and I were thinking about going to my place to hang out... alone," Michael said shyly.

"Oh okay," Luke said with a smirk. Oh my god. Really?

"Yeah so you wanna get going Becca?"

"Sure."

I texted my mom to say that I was going over to Michael's today since I couldn't go yesterday because of the storm.

To Mom- that's fine honey, but tomorrow I want you to stay home so we can do something together. I'm happy that you've made new friends but I'm sad that you've not been spending time with your mother :(

I told her that was fine and I was sorry.

We walked outside shocked. Laying right in front of us was a huge tree. The storm must have been really bad.

"Umm.. Luke.." I said hesitantly.

Luke came to the door, "wha—oh shit.." he cut himself off.

"You are so lucky it didn't fall on the house or any cars," I said worried.

"I'll call my dad to help me saw it up and take it too his house to use for fire wood," Luke said.

"You sure you don't need any help?" I questioned, concerned.

"Yeah, go ahead."

I took Michael's hand and led him to the car.

We drove away to his house.

We had finally arrived at Michael's and we were in shock. There was a huge tree, that had fallen on Michael's house.
