Chapter 2: A disaster already upon us

"Where were you? Are you hurt?" As soon as you walked through the door, you were flung with questions. "Lilia - I'm alright. I was just giving the new kid a tour."

"But you were gone for so longgggggg!" He hugged you and placed his head on your shoulder. You giggled and patted his head. Walking to the living room with one of your favorite parasites, you were met with happy smiles and a million more questions.

"Guys! I'm fine! It's alright!" You smiled at them with reassurance. "Fine, but what happened?"

"Well, we are going to have a dorm pet soon."

"Gah! Really?!" Lilia's eyes peered into yours.

"Mhm! Tomorrow, actually."

"What rodent did you steal?"

"Silver, that's mean~"

"Sorry, sorry."

"I AGREE WITH SILVER. WHAT RODENT DID YOU STEAL"

"Sebek, inside voice, please."

"Apologies.."

"It's the cat from the ceremony."

Everyone looked at you in awe. "WHATTT?!"

"Stop screaming at me." You rubbed the side of your head closest to your ear. "I'm sorry, it's just that cat is feral." Lilia stated. "Yeah!" Sebek shouted. "Sebek, you're going to wake everyone." Lilia smirked.

"Speaking of which, we should go to bed." Silver said. "Oh, well, goodnight, everyone. Sweet dreams!" You walked to your room before waving them off. Although you didn't need to, you kept your door locked at night with what seemed to be eyes keeping someone from entering. No one has ever seem your uniquemagic in this world, but thats what they assumed it was from. You had enough protection, but what's a little more?"

You changed into your typical night clothes and looked at your phone. "Damn. That's a lot of notifications." You looked through every message. The fact that they were so worried warmed your heart. They cared. Even Malleus tried to learn how to text to find out where you were.

You sighed and began to drift to sleep. "Goodnight to you as well, Catty."

NEXT MORNING

You awoke to knocking on your door. You unlocked your door and headed out the room.

You walked to a bathroom, one shared between you and Sebek.

"Hello, mortal! Oh- oh." He looked you up and down. Your hair was a spiraling mess, and your shirt was moved to one side, showing your shoulder and collarbone. Your eyes were half open. "Hmmm?" You replied groggily. "Human! You are a mess!" Sebek shouted, per usual. "Quiet down, I'm still sleepy." You walked to him and put your head on his chest while closing your eyes. He went awful silent. Little did you know he was a flustered mess. His face began to get sweaty, and his face was REALLY red. He was froze for fear of making you uncomfortable. "H-hey.. you have to get ready." He stuttered

"I guess you're right.." You yawned and put your head up. You grabbed your toothbrush and began to brush your teeth sheepishly. Sebek basically ran out of the bathroom.

Eventually, you were finished getting ready and had your uniform on with your hair brushed. Silver and Lilia were laughing at Sebek for some reason, but you didn't pry. "Mallie!" You whisper yelled at Malleus's door. He slowly opened the door. "Oh! Aesira, it's you." His smiled showed his little fangs, which you adored. "I'm not quite sure if you want to attend class, Mallie, but if you don't, I'll help you with the class work."

"No need, but I would like to hang out sometime. Isn't that what you all call it, 'hang out?'" You giggled and nodded. "Yes. I'll see you later today after class. Oh! And I'll have a little surprise with us." You winked and slowly began to leave. He closed the door and felt a blush creep on his face. 'Humans are so strange,' he thought to himself.

IN CLASS!!!

You sat at the back row of Professor Treins' class. "Alright, class! I am Professor Trein, and this is my familiar. We will be learning about.." You zoned him out. You knew him personally and already knew everything he was going to say. What felt like hours later, the bell rang. "Every complete this paper tonight. Due tomorrow!" He yelled to the students, hurrying out.

WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR DORM!

"I'm back~" you cooed as you walked in. Lilia hugged you from behind and put his head on your shoulder. "Hellooooo~" he nuzzled into your head. "Lilia, I'll be back home at 6 tonight." You patted his head. Clearly, he became a little disappointed, his face showing it all. "Why?" He tried to sound like he wasn't bothered, but you could tell. "Hey, it'll be okay. Lil! I'll make you your favorite dish tomorrow, and we can hang out! We can invite Mallie, Silver, and Sebek if you want. Or we could just hang out alone." He pulled away and nodded. "Yes, please!"

"Alright, now I'll go deliver this to Mallie! I'll say by when I leave." You walked to Malleus's room, and knocked on the door. Immediately, he opened it and smiled. "I have our work. I'll turn your in. I have to leave at 5:20 so I can't stay l9ng, I'm afraid."

"It's alright, Aesira. Come in," you both sat down at the comfy sofa in his room. "Alright, so this is Triens work. He just wants a sheet about you and a little quiz on what you know." You handed him the paper and he completed it quickly. You giggled, and he raised his brow. "Good little dragon, hm?" You pet his head, which immediately made him flustered. "Humans are really weird.." he mumbled to himself.

After about 1 hour and 30 minutes, you left. Malleus didn't know what to think now. He interacted with you for so long, and you gave him affection, actual affection.

"Silv, Sebe!" You called out. It was daily you saw your favorite people in the dorm, and checked in on them. "Yes, Aesira?" Silver asked. "Nothing, I just have some stuff for you both." You gave them some cookies from the cafeteria. "Also, Thursday I'll make some salmon carpaccio, k?" You face Sebek, and his mouth opens. "Thank you.." he whispered, which was shoking. "And Silver, I'll be cooking instead of Lilia tomorrow." Silver smiled. "I love your cooking." He complimented.

You walked to your room and picked your Tuesday clothes. You set out to Heartsylabul.

I WANNA SPECIFY THAT I WANT THE CEREMONY TO BE ON A SUNDAY SO THEY CAN GET INTO THEIR DORMS, MONDAY AND TUESDAY TO BE A DAY FOR SECOND YEARS AND THIRD YEARS. WENSDAY, FRESHMEN START GOING INTO CLASSES. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY WANT THE FRESHMEN TO ADJUST. THIS IS MY OWN VERSION THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
